Good guy Todd just released a 15gb patch for people who are already playing the game. He's like "people were making fun of us for releasing buggy games... well enough of that! This is going to be our most stable release ever".

SOVL confirmed, boys.
Phil Spencer says it's more "Oblivion than Skyrim"

Phil Spencer liking Soyfield is not a shocker, it's like being surprised when a chef enjoys his own food. Soyfield is a tentpole Xbox release. Not to mention this is the same guy that gave a thumbs up to that one Arkane game before it released and bombed.

He's the last guy any prospective buyer should trust.

Got some bad news. According to leaks, you can no longer loot armor spacesuits from killed human enemies. Every Bethesda RPG before Starfield allowed the player to pick up armor from dead humanoid enemies, and NPCs in general were wearing the same stuff that was available to players. Starfield gets rid of this standardization, not clear if it's because of muh balince or some other reason.

The game also has color-coded randomized loot.

I finally draw the line at non-lootable armor and got a refund. Oblivion had daedra who wouldn't drop armor, and some characters in Morrowind, like Vivec and Dagoth Ur didn't drop their armor, but between this, the force powers, idiotic guns, ugly vessels and bases, their usual writing, and the tide of ******* I won't even pirate this dogshit. Its such a weak game, compared to No Man's Sky, which is how old? Its going to feel like a Fallout 4 mod, another of their games I refunded. I have a feature complete Daggerfall Unity, if I want a seamless, proc-gen world with mod support.

The game I want and they refuse to make.

Maybe the most irritating developer still alive, because it seems like all they do is restrict player agency, by tightening each new game. They want to patch all these holes in their dumb as rocks AI but its the player's fault if they miss their chance to complete a quest because an NPC got lost on the road and died. If I want to play a space stealth archer who steals spacesuits, instead of a space stealth archer who drops poisoned apples in NPC inventories, then I should be able to.

Apparently Starfield will only run at 45-60fps on high settings and 1440p, with FSR, if you only have a MEASLY RTX 2080 Ti and Ryzen 3800x . Boy the game must be so massive, and they must really be working that Creation Engine to demand such performance.

Technically it's a mod of Fallout 4 which is a mod of Skyrim which is a mod of Oblivion which is a mod of Morrowind.

If the regular edition came with the early access I'd preorder it, but I'm not paying $100 to play it 5 days early.
What a stupid strategy, basically begging for the game to be pirated.

Skyrim lacks sovl.

Someone cared enough to take the time to make a skooma addict travel to the skooma den to get his fix. That's sovl.

I was really surprised when they were giving a demo of starfield and she just tore her shirt off for no reason then started talking about the new guns they implemented.

He wants to land his ship on those planets and walk on them. He is not aware that they are made out of gas.

I have found the term "Faustian" confusing for years, because Faust's deal with demons gives it a double meaning.

But I can't deny that I do feel this way:

Tell me many tales, O benign maleficent daemon, but tell me none that I have ever heard or have even dreamt of otherwise than obscurely or infrequently. Nay, tell me not of anything that lies between the bourns of time or the limits of space: for I am a little weary of all recorded years and charted lands; and the isles that are westward of Cathay, and the sunset realms of Ind, are not remote enough to be made the abiding-place of my conceptions; and Atlantis is over-new for my thoughts to sojourn there, and Mu itself has gazed upon the sun in aeons that are too recent,

Tell me many tales, but let them be of things that are past the lore of legend and of which there are no myths in our world or any world adjoining. Tell me, if you will, of the years when the moon was young, with siren-rippled seas and mountains that were zoned with flowers from base to summit; tell me of the planets gray with eld, of the worlds whereon no mortal astronomer has ever looked, and whose mystic heavens and horizons have given pause to visionaries. Tell me of the vaster blossoms within whose cradling chalices a woman could sleep; of the seas of fire that beat on strands of ever-during ice; of perfumes that can give eternal slumber in a breath; of eyeless titans that dwell in Uranus, and beings that wander in the green light of the twin suns of azure and orange. Tell me tales of inconceivable fear and unimaginable love, in orbs whereto our sun is a nameless star, or unto which its rays have never reached.

Amazing passage.
Mephistopheles really was the Todd Howard of his day.
