Nevermind those vermin. Here's some oldschool fun beat'em up to enjoy.

Vergil's Tekken song got me thinking about some good fights I recall having and seeing.

Popped up in feed awhile ago that I saved. This one is TAS but reminds me of me and little bro on various games/mmo's having long duels, minus the *****. I like to watch it now and then. Taught him all I know, made him a machine. I struggle against him now but it makes me proud. ; )

I myself played Tekken only on arcade machines in the past (fellow King enjoyer here too! :salute: ) and wanted to ask, are there any differences between the arcade and other platforms for this game? I was trying to find musics from my time playing, but I can't recall any from those listed on youtube that I found :?

As far as I remember, there was no storymode/character endings for arcade versions like there was on some of the Mortal Kombat arcade games. It was mostly exhibition, "get to the fighting" after popping a coin in, kind of gameplay. There was an arcade about 30 mins or so from where I used to live as a kid and I'd go there maybe 2 times a month for a couple hours playing with some people.

It was located near a food court that has since shutdown the arcade portion and fit it with other food vendors, not sure how long ago. I was more into Mortal Kombat ( 3 was huge at the time ) rather than Tekken, but I noticed there seemed to be faster recovery from knockdowns/little to no stun times on some arcade cabinets compared to the PS1 copies I had. OST wise I'm not very familiar with Tekken stuff but MK I am. What were you trying to find exactly?

It's all about these companies taking a giant **** on all the old games you used to love and rubbing it in your face. Zero respect for the originals

Anything really, I played Mortal Kombat more than Tekken that I recall as well (I recounted the Mortal Kombat I played somewhere, here probably, but I can't say it was 3 in my case. I only recall that, when I went looking to add it to a list that I am unsure I did in the end, it said it was called "Gold Edition" or something like that. Spike pit fall if you lose and the character falls until the timer for the coin runs out) but still, for some reason, I cannot recall any of the soundtracks for Tekken, at least from those on youtube. They are unfamiliar to me, and I find it strange as I usually (to memory) always remember musics. I think it may be due to the surrounding noise as when I used to play those arcades, Tekken always felt more chaotic but am not certain as I do recall the noises from the characters (King especially as I played him more often).
This one for example, I have no recollection of ever hearing it before (linking Tekken 3 as I am quite certain that is the one I played as I recall the black character screen, though I played other Tekken arcades too, the one with the black screen was the one I played the most. The other had some sort of "beach stage" that I recall, very brightly colored, but I played very little due to time constraint, probably the last arcade game I played now that I think about it. Now I miss it :( )

Yeah It's weird man, I can't internally hum or think of any Tekken themes myself either, again though arcade noise and mostly playing MK. Probably just a preferential thing. I do recall the Yoshimitsu forest stage theme though similar to what Verg posted but no other ones. Even listening to them now on YT OST's I don't remember them. These stand out though for sure

There's 2 versions of it, a lower bass one and this one that's on SNES and I recall it being on Arcade for sure. The volume on this cabinet was always louder.

This one was always made me a nervous wreck before playing waiting to see what character the stranger at the arcade choose lol. Kitana and Kabal FTW BABY. My best toons. The juggle combos/capabilties were my favorite. I mained Kitana through out most MK titles. My buddies wouldn't want to play with me if I choose her. 'Pass the controller to someone else.exe.' lol

My favorite stage music. Always reminded me of Super Castlevania 4 that I was playing at the time so I was bias towards it.

ROUND 1.. FIGHT!

Recovery times were definitely much faster on the arcade. Visuals and audio were better on the arcade version as well. Higher polygon count for character and 3D-rendered backgrounds. And yeah, no character endings or any additional games modes Tekken Force, Tekken Ball etc. PS1 version was a more complete package.

I think in terms of soundtrack, Tekken 1 was largely forgettably, 2 was slightly better, but Tekken 3 is the point where the soundtrack picked up a lot in quality. Love the soundtrack of Tekken 4 and 5. 4 is probably one of the most unique fighting game OSTs of all time. Incredibly atmospheric and super experimental with a ton of genre-fusion. Tekken 5 was more cinematic, and was better at striking a balance between ambient and energy. Moonlit Wilderness is my favourite.

Hands down one of the best Easter egg in any videogame period. I wish modern fighting games were as cool as this. Instead we got dipshit developers wanting to water down the core essence of a game, paywall characters shove battle pass ******** down your throat (looking at you Tekken 8).

Buddy it's like the Warhammer games and Mutant Football League etc games. Pay for factions/teams? I should pay for an Undead team that is a universal bad guy that all races have had wars with ( Warhammer wise, I read the Nagash books and everything Undead/Khemri related ) ? I should fork over some coffee change for a staple in said setting? LOL gtfoh. Such a laugh man. I miss unlockables. Show me that silhouette and question mark that I can try to figure out how to get. Make me earn it, not buy it ffs.

Another thing I miss was also finding secret characters by going on the very corner of the roster, moving to go out of bounds, and suddenly there was a new secret character to play

I hate Todd and Emil so much that it is unreal. This is clear proof that they hate New Vegas and that Season 2 will be their revenge at New Vegas fans for daring to like New Vegas over Fallout 4.

I hate all the normalfags that eat up this putrid **** straight out from Todd's ******* and worship him like a god. Bethesda's Fallout is an abomination and might be worse than Disney Star Wars when it comes to tarnishing the legacy of the original IP. What is so off putting is that Caesar in New Vegas was intimidating. As he says when you meet him; "I am feared and for good reason." Jack Black is about as intimidating as a marshmallow. He was only put in there because Todd and Emil thought it would be so cool and funny to have Jack Black play Caesar. I'll like to point out that Caesar and his Legion did things that would make the gang of reprobates in Blood Meridian blush. This really shows that Todd, Emil and the gaggle of Redditors that call themselves fans don't understand Fallout. What they want is a Borderlands clone wearing a Fallout skin. Reminder that the same people defending the Fallout show also defend both the awful Witcher show and Devil May Cry show. Millennials can not take anything seriously. It is all wacky, zany ******** mixed with daddy issues. It reeks of insecurity.

Just read @Oyster Sauce post and I hope he is right but wouldn't put it past Todd and Emil. They are both probably salivating over the Minecraft movie.

Played the game about digging a hole. It was a fun distraction for a couple of hours. A good "turn your brain off and put on a podcast in the background" kinda game.
