A few days ago, PureDark issued a new update for his Red Dead Redemption 2 DLSS 3 Mod that added a DRM to it. This DRM requires you to authenticate your license, otherwise, you won’t be able to use it.

At this point, we should note that you only have to authenticate only one time. After your first authentication, the mod won’t ask you to re-authenticate it. Moreover, any account that has subscribed to PureDark’s Patreon will be able to pass the authentication. In other words, you don’t need an active membership. If you have subscribed and then unsubscribed from his Patreon, you’ll still be able to pass the authentication.

PureDark has implemented this DRM in preparation for the upcoming Starfield DLSS 3 Mod. The modder knows that a lot of people will be interested in it, so he’s doing everything to combat its illegal distribution. And what better way to protect a paid mod from piracy? But to add a DRM of course.

Just report him to nvidia, collecting money on this/having DRM will probably have them look into it. DLSS is proprietary, it's not free to distribute.

I don't know bros, I always found Mario to be a little annoying. Sure he can have a voice, but he shouldn't yell after every action the player takes.

I think JRPGs are archaic. For a genre that purpotedly has such a big story focus, I feel a more linear and action-oriented game design would suit it a lot better than turn-based battles and static text boxes. Having never played a Final Fantasy but admiring it's visual direction, it would have been better if the developers took more inspiration from games like Half-Life and Half-Life 2. Give me a setting, with plot and characters, but tell it through gameplay, and give me a window into that world without filling it with superfluous crap that adds little to my enjoyment. Forcing me to meander through town after town and sit through movie-length cinematics is not exactly good storytelling nor does it take advantage of the video game medium.

Story-heavy genres like film and books do a far better job at telling a story because it doesn't meander the way JRPGs do.

Japan doesn't have a movie industry equivalent to Hollywood. It resulted in people who wanted to make films going into games instead. The people in charge there don't want you taking their place in the director's chair.
