It was the beggining of the end, wokeness was being unleashed to the masses and so many npcs supporting them and ofc exposing what we already know, corruption in game "journalism" and the amount of evil these people were into from colluding articles forming hitpieces like games such as black myth wukong to anita sarkeesian being taken seriously by the un it was a disaster and its effects are still being felt a decade later.

I don't think we're necessarily seeing the fruits of their labor it's just that more people are being radicalized these days do to the mask off nature of leftists, ****, etc. As for what was gamergate like? I'd say it was one big clusterfuck. It was enjoyable at first especially when we thought we could actually change the industry. The leaked email chain that Milo covered was probably the biggest "win" for the movement since it showed how deep the corruption was in the industry. Problem was nothing ever went further then that.

GG had no leader, no cohesive ideas, or beliefs. Most members were apolitical back then, many were leftists or centrists. There really wasn't any right-wing aspects to the movement despite what the narrative will tell you. Look at all the gay stuff the GG members lifted up like the Not Your Shield hashtag and flaming **** like Milo. GG's ultimate problem was they didn't just attack ruthlessly, they played into the games of the SJW's. They were concerned with being labeled racist, sexist, etc. It's the same problem modern conservatives have when they pathetically try to fight back with the whole "the democrats are the real racists" line. When you play the game your enemy sets up you will inevitably lose and that was the fate of gamergate unfortunately.
