Starfield - Todd Howard's latest masterpiece

Psionics has been a staple of sci-fi for a long time. The game obviously draws heavily from things like Traveller which also has psionics.

Psionics in sci-fi goes back to at least the Foundation trilogy.

There are some good sci fi settings that don't have aliens. It doesn't look like Starfield could be one of them. The promise that there are aliens somewhere is the only hope for this boring setting to have some flavor.

I'm definitely not getting this game for the main quest, force powers, or aliens, but for the fun of hijacking spaceships.

Gotta admit, I am perplexed by all the "That was so amazing! Chills down my spine!" comments. Every ad Beth has released for this makes Starfield seem smaller and boringer. This is going to be as big a disappointment as Starbound.

I'll say that out of all of that, I don't have a problem with the black child with blue eyes. That one thing I'm fine with, because the % of black people with blue eyes is so small, it does look like something taken out of SCI-FI.

And besides, if the message is something of the sort of "any child no matter how they look like can enjoy our game", I'm fine with it.

The rest of the trailer I do agree with you though. The "no white people allowed" thing is getting obnoxious.

I don't know, because the interpretation is pretty unique. But I'm starting to assume that the rights are fairly cheap, because the song is pretty much everywhere.

Maybe in Elder Scrolls 8 we will get an engine that supports inverse kinematics.. It's a pretty new (15 year old) tech.. Can't expect GameBryo to handle that so soon.

Pretty sure that was the animator in Andromeda.. she was some junior drop out or something.
