Now I only played one game and a half in that series, but I do not remember the part in Dragon Age where elves were involved in usury, coin clipping, prostitution, or liquor distillation. Nor even the part where they got diaspora'd after rebelling against the empire; their country was destroyed by a crusade, which I guess could make them vaguely similar to Armenians if you squint.

And the destruction of the Dales with subsequent... diaspora... of the Dalish...?

At least the first part of it. Once we find out the Bad Guy’s MacGuffin is an ANCIENT ELVEN ARTIFACT it starts going downhill.

It was also hilariously revealed in the Tresspasser DLC that le heckin’ Ancient Elven Arcadia was actually just Tevinter, but worse. Tevinter is basically humans larping as the Ancient Elves. They destroyed themselves. Sooooo many Elfaboos and SJW Tumblrites were BIG MAD about this.
