Awful character and the stupid pointless narrative device of him telling stories feels extremely gay and forced. Everything about his character feels like the writers desperately trying to make him seem cool and it falls totally flat for me.

You have a city state flooded with refugees who start forming a diaspora and turn to crime and you have muslim invaders deciding that they're going to take over just because they dislike the culture of the place that they won't leave.
