You don't need one anyway. Just roll over anyone that comes through the door, you've got plenty of lard to absorb any bullets that might get shot (they won't shoot, your body is a perfect sphere of killer fattiness).

I did the Trial and chose the Witch Hunter ascendancy. Now I see that the characters are less interchangeable than I had thought. Going to have to look up what the other ascendancies are later. I also experimented with pulling a huge mob and trying to clear it with the bow's AoE poison skills. I don't think I'm spec'd correctly to do that currently, but I can see how it could work.

I'm currently doing a pure physical mercenary build that I haven't seen any Jewtubbers talk about. It brings a ton of stun, bleed, armour break and I'm now adding critical hits. Here is my fight with Doryani at the end of the campaign:

Hold your sentiments and your wallet, there are plenty of poe1 fans that are deeply dissatisfied with poe2. Start small and upgrade your pack if you feel like they deserve it.

I won't upgrade higher than the standard do not worry I liked the first game, but won't buy something costly. Yesterday was a day I had some time to go around and buy things so I asked due to that as I wanted to buy something for myself as well. So far I am liking this game, but the controls are something I need to get used to as I use point and click for exploration and WASD for combat, yet here you cannot switch unless you go back to the main menu or character selection screen. Shame the "butcher" (the dual wielding rogue class I forget the name of) is not in the game yet as that is my main

Edit: did not wish to make a second post, just wanted to say that I am also really liking how the UI interacts with the mouse as if the cursor was emitting light, it is a beautiful detail!

It appears this games playerbase is divided in two camps. One camp is for fanatics from the first game who prefer the 1 button gameplay. Another camp is for those who want a slower paced gameplay with combos and ****. Can this australochinese company sit on two chairs? I suppose it actively tries doing just that.

They denied my request for a refund. This is the worst patch in poe history and I uninstalled and review bombed the game.

GGG is turning poe2 into a very hardcore version of an ARPG. Lengthy boss fights, large zones, immortal rares, does make the game take more time. It doesn't IMO make the game harder, you just have to spend more time and effort into clearing the game. However the rewards for the increased effort don't feel great, and the balance changes are not addressing the META issues. The skills that are fun to play are not always the skills that you can play, and eventually every player will have to make the choice between doing what they want vs saving 50% of their playtime by doing what works.

It can still be a fun game but it's a different feeling compared to classic Arpg rewards. If you like getting WOWed by how quickly you clear content then I think you are not the target audience for poe2. If you like a grindy time sinq then poe2 is still a good game.

However, I think GGGs DEI hiring is now damaging the company. They have hired many female and brown developers that just don't cut it, forcing them to pull OG devs off of poe1 to fix poe2. They are slowly killing the cow.

The comment "I wish other game didn't push back it's release date so I could play it instead" is very loud in the community right now. Ggg has 2 weeks to make some hard fixes or people are going to jump ship to Last Epoch
