Hope the battery is good quality. I've seen too many videos of fires caused by cheap Chinese batteries.traxtan wrote: ↑ March 22nd, 2025, 17:56I have a ***** phone so they already know everything about me, the only thing I'm sad about is that their spyware doesn't work on my steam deck.
Xiaomi phone, I've had it for 3 years and use the included 120w charger pretty often, still great.Breathe wrote: ↑ March 29th, 2025, 17:10Hope the battery is good quality. Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
I have a xiaomi phone as well and it is years old. I had people close to me using samsung and the likes, and they changed phones at least three times (motherboard, wiring, battery, screen issues) each since I had mine. I also suggested one of them to get a xiaomi phone to see if his issues would stop and it costed less than any other he bought, yet still had more space and was faster. The issue I have with mine is that it cannot be opened to change or check the battery if it will ever be needed, but it seems to be a "feature" of more modern phones these days, and the camera changes colors of the image in some lights (adding a red tint) but am unsure if that is usual for phones or not.traxtan wrote: ↑ March 29th, 2025, 17:11Xiaomi phone, I've had it for 3 years and use the included 120w charger pretty often, still great.Breathe wrote: ↑ March 29th, 2025, 17:10Hope the battery is good quality. Can't seem to find mine in the store anymore, but I know it's called Poco. Nevermind, found it https://www.mi.com/it/poco-x3-nfc/

Cheap phones definitely seem like the way to go nowadays if you don't mind not playing video games on them, and Chinese phones are the cheapest.DagothGeas5 wrote: ↑ March 30th, 2025, 00:26I have a xiaomi phone as well and it is years old. Plus they still have an IR remote which comes in incredibly handy compared to these 1000 dollar phones that don't come with them.
Based or cringe? Been out ten years, never heard anyone talk about it.
Interesting premise, some nice gameplay and I think the narrative is well done it but overall feels incredibly sandboxy and directionless.. I mean I played it for 35 hours, make of that what you will, I don't see a reason to play it again and not much stuck with me from the experience.

It's fun.
This here is the first game I know that actually hits the Diablo 1 vibe and that makes it very fun. It's a full roguelike, no town just trying to move through the dungeon.
I played just a demo thus far but what I am playing is very fun, it's a budget title as can be easily seen and looks a bit *** but so far it's a pretty good effort.
I really like diablo 1 specifically and do not understand why nobody ever tried to emulate the concept and now nearly 30 years later finally some dude in his basement does try.

Quite fun, but you may need friends. Or play conjurer.
I never said you can't. I said you may need friends to play with. The reason being, I found this game pretty hard to play solo. Except when I played conjurer.
Every class I tried, I died at the third/fourth level after dozens of tries. With conjurer, I cleared the game after 5-6 attempts.
It's a good game by itself, but if you have some friends you convince to play with, this game really shines.

This game was surprisingly good, just wanted to say that I recommend it if anyone might have been interested in it but did not wish to clutter up their library on Steam in case you found it not to your liking. It may still happen anyway, of course, but I myself really enjoyed it and will play it again to see if I can unlock a different ending or things of the sort.
It felt like those old flash games I used to play, and the whole of the map is one that can be slowly unlocked and accessed, with the type of gameplay that requires the player to go back to a previous area that had, for example, a "funny wall" and then that said wall was actually something that could be interacted with after gaining the ability to. It has a story and written dialogue that unfolds as there is more unlocked of the map, it also has care for the details put in besides the animations (for example the character starts bleeding green after his torso changes compared to the previous red).

It is pretty good and I can confirm that the multiplayer can work via LAN.
(More games need LAN support!)

I have been orbiting this game for a while thanks to a friend that brought it to my attention. I found it again just now and wanted to ask if anyone knows more about it.
My friend said the game had some issues and is not looking into it anymore but did not elaborate as he said he doesn't recall, the Steam page also says the last update was 3 years ago, and I am left unsure. It looks good to me, reminds me of Wolf Quest, but would love to have more information if anyone played it.

seen some streams of it, good meme if playing with friends
just run around as a dino family
i think there were some unofficial patches/versions of the game or something that were more fleshed out and recent though? the **** i saw was, anyway
edit: it's the "Evrima" branch apparently, you can opt in to it in the steam settings

I've played it off and on over the past few years. It's essentially 2 different games with old version no longer being developed but still has a sizable player base (last time I checked) and the new version that is updating mechanics and content with a lot of overhauls in progress. It has definitely been updated more recently than 3 years ago so the steam info is not accurate.
In terms of gameplay you choose a dinosaur and run around and try to survive. They are still working on humans and last time I played it they still weren't playable. You start as a weak hatchling and over time you grow and become stronger. Expect LONG periods of downtime trying to hide so you grow enough to have a decent chance at survival. That is really about it for the gameplay loop. As there are is not much in the way of objectives roleplay seems to pretty popular with the stable community. It can be fun but it can also be really frustrating. If there is a decent sale going I would say try it out, especially if you have enjoyed playing something like Beasts of Bermuda or Path of Titans.

Looks like they don't take into account different branches with regards to update, just the main version.Endoftime wrote: ↑ April 2nd, 2025, 04:40I've played it off and on over the past few years. And yeah, seems it does still get updates. Evrima branch last updated 4 days ago.

I haven't played it, but from a quick search of 5 year old reddit threads, it seems to be overall the same game with improved performances and some minor quirks in mob AI, and a few new added maps.DagothGeas5 wrote: ↑ April 5th, 2025, 13:21@Val the Moofia Boss I saw you mentioning this in the pirates topic and wanted to ask, the original Pirates of the Caribbean Online seems to have been closed but I really wanted to play too and have found this project https://tlopo.com/ do you know of it and if it's anything like the original game? I myself saw this video that illustrated it, but I wanted to hear from someone that actually played the original to say how close it truly is. If you might see the video below, do let me know what you think if you canVal the Moofia Boss wrote: ↑ April 5th, 2025, 16:33I haven't played it, but from a quick search of 5 year old reddit threads, it seems to be overall the same game with improved performances and some minor quirks in mob AI, and a few new added maps.DagothGeas5 wrote: ↑ April 5th, 2025, 13:21@Val the Moofia Boss I saw you mentioning this in the pirates topic and wanted to ask, the original Pirates of the Caribbean Online seems to have been closed but I really wanted to play too and have found this project https://tlopo.com/ do you know of it and if it's anything like the original game?
