Well, the thing is, nobody speaks "authentically", or else we wouldn't understand them. Therefore, they speak in, at best, faux-Ye-Olde, but most commonly in modern language.

This leaves devs, who have probably never met an actual peasant-equivalent in their entire lives, trying to fake it, or just not trying at all because they have no idea how to even start.

Devs are modern-day peasants.

But if devs are peasants, and the peasants are modelled after how they speak, then isn't that fine?

Nobody wants to interact with actual peasants anyway. Imagine a game where every other npc is sdg

Why?
EDIT: Oh, I interpreted that as rolling dice. Now I see what you probably meant.

I cannot have a billion spelling mistakes in my RPG's or any game for that matter. The more I notice the more likely I am to stop playing. Atom RPG was pushing it but the game was just too good.

Unskippable cutscenes, for me personally. I always prefer it when games show and don't tell, or weave the story into the actual gameplay. Don't make me sit through hours of cinematics, and not allow me to skip them if I want to.

When the game tells you what your character thinks or how it feels. When the game says that your character performed an action, but ignores relevant game mechanics.

Copy pasting and making endless filler the meat of the game, rpg **** where it doesn't belong(addiction mechanics so goyslop cons00mers get their reward impulse when they level up etc.), generally stuffing mmo-ish ideas into single player games, diablo style loot, so called "millenial writing", soycore and POZ. These are probably the worst traits of modern games.

Arbitrary points of no return. Especially with a plot that tries to ramp up the urgency. If I do whats logical for my character I end up missing content I'm no longer allowed to go back to.

Games need to have MORE points locked content based on your character's choices, but should be shorter. There's little point in muh replayability for a 60+ hour game when maybe 10% or less of the content is different.

There's a game designed around this, but I can't think of the name of it. I think you play as a samurai. It's some kind of sword fighting game set in Japan. It's very short, but every choice matters and each choice makes huge changes. Now I want to play it again.

Such games necessarily are going to be low on exploration. I would rather have many locations to visit than many dialog options.

I would also say that games need to commit to this if they're going to do it and not pussy out last minute by adding some secret "best" path that allows you to experience everything with no drawbacks (thus creating a "true" path). People are still whining for Larian to make a legit way to recruit Minthara without sacrificing multiple other companions but having to commit allows for a playthrough where you get her to be more unique/interesting.

This is going to be an odd one, but context sensitivity and what I'll call "forced spectacle". If the game feels too cinematic, I usually don't like it and will rarely touch it. I think it's part of the reasons all Playstation3+ games have this similar feeling that turns me away from them. And I remember in particular Conker's Bad Fur Day putting me off when I was younger with it deliberately putting in context sensitive "buttons" on the ground.

This is probably a really obvious one but millennial writing is brutal to try and sit through.
