You either roll in Method C or pick in Method D. The background tables are optional, either roll on the first table or the numbered ones, but if you want you can roll on all of them and come up with a backstory. I've not quite finished yet but I've updated mine with final stats that include the bonus added from the background if that counts.
I'll come up with a name and a backstory to match everything I've rolled when I get a chance. I used my money to purchase a dagger as per the loadout for Bards that you posted. Armor has a - so I'm not sure what that means. I'll buy some more stuff when I get back to it.

Character template, I'll fill this in as I roll. @Irenaeus you might consider creating a blank template and placing it somewhere in the OP for players to copy/paste. Also, the motivation table incorrectly lists the roll as 2d12 (I think it's supposed to be 1d12).
