buddy lol that one scene where viper ( that's what I'm calling her from now on ) and Datak are in the bath and she goes: " You like when I do this..? " and there's some implied groping of some kind off camera underwater I fuckin died laughing to myself because my brother's humour and ours are similar and it's something he'd say as well; but I said out loud " Not sure if finger in *** or ball work...." Was drinking but I was laughing for 5 mins straight, and started again now thinking about it lolol...

EP3 done. Gives some incite into Castithan caste importance, what some of their traditions are, how others view them and especially how they respond if attempting to interrupt them. I forgot about old St. Louis being terraformed and hidden under the town. Wish they had more time down there but I assume it was already picked cleaned of food/supplies and brought up top over the years, so they don't show it much as there's nothing much of note left to give it more screen time... and a mysterious golden MacGuffin in Luke's room ...

Looking forward to the next one.

First glimpse of the hellbugs ( juveniles though, the figurine I have is of a mature one, they are about the size of a 'roller' the chars drive around in.) If I recall correctly you could fight those big brood mother hellbugs with other players that they found down in the mines or something similar. I remember fighting with dozens of others against some large open world bosses, pretty sure it was those. People would try to rocket/explosive jump or drive off ledges and try to get on top of them.

Good episode for Irisa's development ( this was her spotlight ) and how their species can 'commune/connect' with a spirit world and even be detected by other Iraths as noted when Rinn was in the mine entrance and seemed to sense Irisa's spiritual OOB presence near her.

Show trying to make you feel bad for the 'Need-Want' slags. as much as I like Nolan, he's entertaining Kenya with a modern day relationship lol, how fitting for the current time. Amanda ( Mayor ) says her sister " runs a legitemate business " when confronted by an angry wife of some guy who's nailing her sister lol. Says he's a "good man". Uh huh, how embarrassing... the poor thing didn't realize her delusion was showing. Amanda is barely fumbling by as Mayor. Also shows you the Biomen aren't just roided killing machines, they still retain some humanity/emotions for people they associate with.

This one was Amanda's episode. Datak on town council now. Nolan refers to Stahma as a 'dangerous snake" I don't remember this happening, haha how perfect. Told you she's 'Viper' now lol. Also her craftwork that she was doing at the end; some kind of dream catcher looking piece of art is fitting for her character. "Webspinner". Was a good episode.

EP6:

LOL E-Rep shows up ( Earth Republic representative ) on a local transport bus. Brown Chalk broad with two 'husbands', one soft looking white guy and a black city boi lolol... Show trying to showcase some polygamy but Nolan ain't accepting and he has a laugh about it as they transport Rinn to a jail/containment facility.

Random Castithan shows up in a suit, says he's a "Jewellry pedler" but Irisa seems to recognize him and holds him hostage for torture/interrogation...more Irisa focus outside of the Spirit Riders. This is where Nolan finds her as a child, the beginning of the iconic duo.

Hostage standoff episode with characters suddenly introduced to you. No real attachment to them but you feel like they are going to be an issue later on, a couple double crosses/fake outs, just a show of Nolan's leadership and 'cool under pressure' attitude.

Deputy ****** pulls some moves on a vulnerable Irisa after that torture fiasco. I know Deputy Kal or Rusty wouldn't pull that bs so by rule of t.v shows; 1) being blatt, 2) having sex ( especially with a main char ), he probably won't last long. Slower episode but gets a passing grade still.

EP7:

Old war buddy of Nolan's shows up chasing a wanted criminal with a fascination for "harmful devices". You can see the comradarie between them from years ago, he's desperate for cash and something stable to do after the war ended.
but it's obvious he wouldn't fit in with Nolan in Defiance.

The old Mayor and her lanky cronie who looks like he'd enjoy Starbucks if it was still around are still on the hunt for the mysterious golden MacGuffan.

Kenya tells Nolan that he's "not her type" and breaks it off with him. Of course not, he's generally a 'good guy' and her 'job' entails entertaining bad ones. True to life.

And Datak makes me laugh again as he gets some help 'cleaning out' a bad stomache after sharing a meal with the wanted criminal lol...

Introduces new characters again for a brief time and sets up their backgrounds and positions in the world clearly. Overall a decent episode.

Environmental hazard "Razor Rain" makes an appearance. Not sure if this was in the game at all that you had to deal with, although I'm sure it was in cutscenes. Destroyed ships and debris in orbit that eventually after clanging and bumping off eachother will fall and make it down into orbit causing what looks like a meteor fall/shower. Nasty business.

MacGuffan causing Quentin to see things that surely aren't really there.
A Crisis presented... but not how it was appearing to be.
And Viper... uhh yeaahhhh. I'll have to cover @Finarfin 's eyes for this so not to tarnish his innocence.

Good episode that deals with the left over wreckage and hazards left by the war and what alien tech is capable of. Good one.

EP9:

A chance recovery after the Razor Rain and an Ark Fall. ( Alien ship crash ). An old intact 'relic'... or is it?
Nasty example of Votan/Indogene capabilties and their experiments.
Viper being scuzzy as usual, feels like Kenya is going to be collateral damage at some point with this Need-Want nonsense with Datak and Snakebitch...hmm
Someone gets offered a nice cushy job with job security, but it's rejected. I'm sure this won't turn out to be a bad decision later on.
Wholesome ending...almost... but a health scare shows it's face.

One of the better episodes so far (imo). Easy passing grade.

Yeah I just figured it out lol. IMDB says there's part 1 and 2 of the EP1 Pilot ( why it's 1hr 25 mins total ) They are listed as separate entries but play continuously as one where as my torrents just says 'EP1 1hr 25mins'. It's on my end as well as IMDB that I am looking at. I should relabel EP1 to Part 1 and 2 and EP3 is actually what I thought was EP2: the 'Castithan Public Shaming.' I'll fix up the entries. I'll get it all sorted lol.

Weird MMO shooter that was tied to a TV series. Never got to play it, pretty sure it got acquired by some Korean publisher and shut down. Seems some indie publisher acquired it and is going to revive it.

Rando wedding filler episode with a dead husband case reappearing, hooker house drama, feels like a 'chick' episode. A lot of social theatrics and flashbacks with this one.

Anacuntda's 'mask' slips abit for the first time, Datak and her losing it, they want the rights to the Mines something bad.

And the Golden MacGuffan changes hands, causes problems for a character. Is this thing alive..?

Other than the Mines Ownership narrative, and the Old Mayor secret reveal, No real action/pew pew.

EP12:

I like the start of this one, during a speech Datak walks in with Viper and the wind blowing in through the front door disrupts the speech. It's fitting for the two of them... like a "Storm" approaching. Good visual.

Mayor sticks to her "all are welcome here/multi cultural-I'm not taking my own kinds side" stance. Will see how she feels about that soon.

STOMA being a ****** wife again. A ploy masked as a 'prank' works perfectly against a main character.

Bit of a chaotic episode with two characters potentially leaving and two others potentially going to end up dead any minute.

Finale of Season 1.
