If you look this guy up, you get an opencritic profile. You think to yourself, "huh, weird, two people with an uncommon name"
No, he works in the video game industry and GameSpot lets him review games without a single notice of conflict of interest on his works.

Reminds me of Game Informer totally not being a propaganda arm of Gamestop.

Stuff like that makes me laugh on one hand but the other hand wants to strangle something just since it exists.

Serious question for you PRO GAMERS out here: do you actually keep shelves/displays of all your gaming collection like that? Or like, display gay *** toys and ****?

Because nothing makes me want to express violence and rage more than seeing that stupidity. Well, maybe women.

Only a little bit, and nobody would probably notice. I have a wooden rotating CD holder thing that has a bunch of Dreamcast games which is plainly visible, but the rest of my hardcopies of games are in cabinets. No toys, no posters. My Genesis is plugged in but gathering dust.

I used to enjoy going to the store and seeing a new cool box art, reading the back.. taking in the experience..... the smell of a freshly cracked manual.

It was an ~experience~ ..

Then when I got home I realized I didn't have room for all this cardboard **** so I would take the cd out, put it in case with a CD key sticker and throw the rest in the trash (Recycling was uncool back then)

I used to have Spawn figures displayed back when I collected the comics, because they were awesome. I don’t do that anymore (because I don’t want to, certainly not because Im worried about other peoples opinions about it, that would be pathetic) but it would be worth it to witness what passes for “rage and violence” from a GGS type… maybe we need a ‘show pics of your collection thread’ here?

I used to collect Sonic the Hedgehog keychains. Eventually it got too heavy and started causing issues with the ignition in my car so I stopped.

I can almost picture a bent ignition that your key slides into diagonally, the metal strained and twisted under the weight of 5000 daisy-chained sonic keychains and tags.

I have a rack for all my CDs and DVDs with games, and so on. And 1 shelf with any of the collector's edition's stuff I bought through-out the years. But they're both in my room, so the odds of anyone seeing either of these is minimal. You'd have to be either family, best friend or my future wife.

To add to the cringe, all of the keychains were hanging off this

Yes but I don't collect toys. I have two bookcases for games and the stuff that doesn't fit gets shoved in drawers.
