I always use Dragon Age Redesigned. It fixes wonky faces without straying from the originals and it's very modular, so you can pick and choose what changes you prefer. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/686

Reminded of one of gayder's many, many lies where he claimed the lack of black characters, including Duncan, was because DAO couldn't do blacks. @Roguey

Thanks for sharing this, boss man. I'm doing an NPC visual overhaul and apparently I'd have to make the head morphs from scratch and override them (You can't just import the original head morphs into the toolset).
The guys who made this were cool enough to make it open source, though. So I can just work off of this mod as a base
When you get the chance, can you lemme know which version you recommend?

I always used the lore version because even the "recommended" version made people look too generically beautiful like, for example, here:
I also never installed the companion morphs from this mod because they all look pretty good in vanilla. Leliana, Alistair, Wynn and Oghren are already perfect for what they're supposed to be. Zevran's huge lips could be fixed up a bit, but otherwise he's fine. Morrigan's tiny eyes could use some improvement and then she'd be great.
Not gonna play this **** again. I still have deep road nightmares to this day.
Thanks for the heads up
I didn't mind the deep roads. It was a bit long, but I went there last. So it was basically a playground where I got to use my most powerful abilities for a while before the game ended.

I liked how it felt like grueling dungeon crawling. Deeper and deeper. The sense of scale and depth of the Deep Roads really hit home for me. But yeah, like yourself I'd usually go there or Denerim last
Was watching a streamer play Origins for the first time. Loaded up the game to look up some things in the achievements section.
Got a strong craving to start playing, got scared and closed the game.
What if instead of the Deep Roads it was the Beep Roads and it's just a modern highway with regular cars driving on it, situated inexplicably in the middle of the fantasy world of Thedas?
So is this game actually good? From what I've known it is basically a mediocre at best singleplayer MMORPG, but this site seems to love it so I might give it a try.

The "singleplayer MMORPG" is the third one(Dragon Age Inquisition)
It's decent enough. Not bad, not great, pretty good with all the expansion content.

It is a Bioware-style game with RTwP combat. If you know what that is, you already know if you want to play it or not. If you don't, then you should play it to expand your vocabulary.

Bruh it REALLY is a singleplayer MMORPG, the whole gameplay loop is centered around MMORPG tier trashmob dungeons with dialogues and a few puzzles. My expectation is low enough so I still managed to finish this along with all the DLC campaigns, but if it's the best Dragon Age game, then I don't want to out try the supposedly declining ones.
Anyway this is my endgame stats of the main game, played as an Elven (ElvARYAN) mage.

nah it's pretty good, you probably just played it wrong

It's okay-ish, worth for a single playthrough, far better than skyrim and oblolivion for sure. I actually didn't find the Deep Road to be troublesome though, since it's just identical as the rest of the game.

Did you play all the DLC content/expansion, or just some of it?

This post is really funny. If you play Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition you will understand why. You have not seen trash mobs or MMO design yet.

I would believe the game is a consistent texture if one plays on the lower difficulties.

I don't want to know how bad those sequels actually are but the ending section of both DAO and Awakening play like some MMO city raid special event. And for some reason Bioware think it's a good idea to have the players experience the same MMO design twice (or three times if you count the Darkspawn mini campaign one)

All of them for sure. Most of them except Awakening are pretty short, like 1-1.5 hours short.
