They got blue around 3E.. which is around when the art stopped going for gritty realistic and opted for "Novel Cover".

Where the art really nose dived was 4E .. That's when it became ****** Flash Animation Tier.. DnD art has sucked since.

The itemization is, quite surprisingly, good. Didn't think Larian had it in them after DOS1 & DOS2 randomized colored item puke loot. Most magical items that aren't Sword +1 have interesting effects.

It's like with Dragon Age, there was Zevran in the first game but his romance dialogus was low key and if you turn him down he will never bring it up again, while in the second game pretty much every party member flirts with you all the time.

Anders was basically a sex pest in DA2 and you were stuck with him.

Vampire guy in BG3 is basically Milo Yinnapolis.. he's super edgy / broody / self-absorbed and constantly flirty. Luckily you can just poke him with a knife a few times until he stops moving.

Enhance Ability spell is really worth memorizing btw, it gives advantage in skill checks — roll twice, drop lowest. You can cast it before the die roll.
You can't get that and guidance from the same person btw, so if you want both you'll need two separate people with it.
