Kek, it was all marketing and he played it like a pro. Frankly, and this is just my opinion, I think he doubled down so hard with KCD2 because he despises having his game branded as a Christian game.

Here:

The KCD character models are a ******* mess with random body parts being attached to clothing and neck seams galore. Coomer mods aside It would make KCD far more generic / moddable for adding clothing / animations and is a big reason why I think KCD1 died.

TL;DR
Backport the body "nude" meshes and skeleton rigs (and all the armor and clothing I guess - even though it sounds awful, I assume all KCD equippables will break / not be weight painted correctly.. actually go ahead and do weight paint transfers on those too).

I had something like this implemented for myself in my old PC from a long, long time ago. I wouldn't do a direct backport of KCD2's current outfit system, but can confirm it was possible to at least implement haphazardly

It's funny that I had all these cool mods like whitening Hogwarts Legacy or an outfit system for KCD1 that I never shared since I never wanted to post them anywhere... until this forum :heart:

You need a recursive script that imports models into Blender at origin and runs a weight paint transfer on a-b posed mesh(s) (assume they are both at t-pose / a-pose). I wrote one for another game.

But based on your zomboid server your probably not gonna do ****. :mad:

You need zero blender skills. Just import 2 meshes and hit the "Clone Weight Paints" - as long as they are posed / scaled the same, it'll usually copy 95% over perfectly. You only need to do this if the games use different rigs or differently named bones. Which I assume they did based on my very brief poking around. :old:
