Explains why Vavra started chimping out on Twitter. Imagine planning a rugpull for years only for it thwarted by based leakers. It must hurt like hell not seeing a penny from people he hates. Even if the game did become highly profitable, it's not going to make it up for the blundered "4D chess move" he planned. His ego wouldn't allow it.

I'm equally condemning the fans and "our guys" that will defend this game, despite all of this now being out in the open. If our supposed values are so readily discarded when a half-decent video game releases, then what's the **** point?.

The sales they're currently getting is probably nowhere near estimates and it's probably in part due to the leaks. Vavra's "my sales guess was only 104 off" tweet is trying way too hard to convince chuds things are going to his plan, and a part of me wonders if he was going for the 109 meme but ****** up the number.

More revisionist cope from a certified member of the LGBTQIAPedophile+ community. While technically it was legal for people to be wed in the 12-15 range (depending on where you were) at the time the average age of marriage for a woman in Europe in the 1400s was typically between 18 and 23. Young marriages were not practiced by the majority of the population and generally the only reason they existed at all was for the benefit of the nobility in order to bind families together, position themselves for power grabs or prevent or stop wars. Besides that, while consummation witnesses were an actual thing, they were only there to ensure the wedding was legally binding and not for the degenerate goonsesh that Vavra implies.

Even if nobility married at early age, the consumption of marriage, ie. the first intercourse was usually way after first period. Vavra ousted as historically illiterate ****.

We have the marriage records, average age of marriage was early 20s. Minimum age for females was set to 12 by the church, and this was AFAIK only ever done for political reasons by nobility.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Consummation, but yes. I feel many people mistake betrothals for marriages because the Church treated them as such. But they're not the same.

He's not ignorant, this is deliberate Jewish subversion. In fact, the whole of KCD2 is this, which is even more insidious when the first game went to great lengths to be as historically accurate as possible.

Basically, the old Jewish one two, first they lure you into a sense of security, and then they rugpull you.

I feel like I have to post @JarlFrank 's X thread in regards to this game:

No matter how you try to justify it, a Malian in 15th century Bohemia makes absolutely no sense. An Ethiopian might have been explainable. An Arab or a Persian, sure. But a Malian? Absolutely not.

Mali is a sub-Saharan west African kingdom that converted to Islam and thus became part of the Muslim world. As such, it had contacts with North Africa and Arabia. The most famous Malian is Mansa Musa, a king who went on hajj to Mecca and spent loads of gold on the way.

Beyond going on hajj to Mecca, Malians were not known as travelers. Most of what we know about them was written down by Arabic scholars who visited their country. They had writers who wrote down local chronicles in Arabic, but those never left Mali.

While Timbuktu had a large mosque and was a center of learning, most of its scholars came from other countries in the Islamic world. Berbers, Egyptians, etc. Mali was a country that imported wisdom rather than exporting it.

Ibn Battuta, the famous traveler, wrote an account of his visit to Mali. While he respects the population's devotion to learning the Quran, he finds their manners barbaric and customs questionable. He gets sick from trying local food and has to buy medicine from an Egyptian.

He does not, notably, go to a native Malian doctor, but an Egyptian (either immigrant or traveler, he does not specify), implying that the local medicine isn't particularly good. Or that, after getting sick from the local food, he's not too keen on trying their medicine.

The local customs are very strange. Women walk around naked, going against Islamic custom, and they openly meet with men other than their husbands. It's normal for men and women to share "companionship", and men don't mind if their wives "entertain" male "companions".

The manners at court are excessively theatrical. People strip naked in front of the sultan to show their humility, throw themselves to the ground, pour ash over their heads. Malian manners would have been considered barbaric in both the Arabic and the European world.

The most alienating event Battuta describes is when the Malian sultan welcomes a neighboring tribe of pagan cannibals. They have a gold mine and trade frequently with Mali. The sultan gives them a slavegirl, and they proceed to butcher and eat her.

This is, according to Battuta, a regular occurence, and nobody at the Malian court seems to mind. The cannibals are treated as equal trading partners, and selling them slaves in the full knowledge they will be eaten is perfectly fine.

Even if we assume that parts of his account are embellished, it does not paint a picture of a society of scholars and doctors. While the Malians were part of the Islamic world, they were considered exotic and curious by other Muslim peoples, their manners alien.

And the Malians themselves were perfectly content with keeping their local traditions while also adopting Islam as their religion. We know many travelers from the Latin and Arabic worlds, but none from Mali. No Marco Polo, no Ibn Battuta. Only Mansa Musa who went to Mecca & back.

Therefore it is quite easy to conclude that they didn't travel much. They didn't go on expeditions to far-off countries, and didn't import foreign goods and ideas, unlike the European and Middle Eastern spheres. And there is good reason for this: their geography.

Mali is a kingdom south of the Sahara. Trade routes across it existed and were established, but it's still a harsh and arduous way. Travel across land was slow and required preparation even in temperate regions. The Sahara is a natural border that discourages travel.

To get to Bohemia, a Malian would have to first cross the Sahara into North Africa, then take a ship across the Mediterranean - either to Spain or Italy or Byzantium. From there, he'd have to take the land route to Bohemia. It's very unlikely that anyone from Mali did that.

Is it plausible that a foreigner could appear in medieval Bohemia? Of course. A Muslim scholar? Yes, it's possible. An Arab, perhaps, a Berber, or maybe a Persian. A black man? Sure, from Ethiopia - a Christian country at the time, and much better geography for traveling.

They gave up on historical accuracy. They admit that he's made-up and just "inspired" on historical figures

Great idea. Also check out the "Medieval Warfare" mod for Attila: Total War. It's the closest thing available to a Medieval 3 right now.
