When you enter the Shadowcursed lands and talk with Halsin, there are some options to get freaky with him. This mod did a great job stopping romances with Gale, Wyll and Astarion but apparently, it doesn't work with Halsin in the Shadowcursed lands (It did prevent romance lines from triggering during the Tiefling party with him so I don't know why it's not working here).

By the way, regarding Astarion, when you get high approval with him, you get what it seems like a healthy friendship thanks to this mod but in terms of the game flagging romances, he still counts as a romance. When you talk with the Loviatar priest at the goblin camp, Astarion, Laezel and Shadowheart still make comments like we have some kind of romance. According to the game you can have up to 3 romances in Act 1 and when I tried to romance Karlkach she automatically rejected my character because the game thinks I am already flirting with Shadowheart, Laezel and Astarion. Like I said, the dialogue you get with Astarion is friendly only and nothing sexual so the mod worked there but it didn't remove the romance flag for Astarion internally. You might want to take a look at that.

The dialogue from the images has been an oversight. It is accessible to everyone, no romance-related flags required prior to it, only having set an innocent dialogue flag beforehand. This will be changed.
As for Astarion, on first glance, nothing seemed wrong with his Approval dialogue. Will double-check again and if necessary look into the other flags. One of those can be the culprit here.

I only want the romance restricted to sex (so only male-female) and nothing else. Can this mod still give me it, or do I also have to play with the reworked dialogue (that I do not care about?)

Technically no. Most dialogue has been left untouched, safe for making certain branches restricted as to avoid certain flag setting and make it less degenerate.
Can keep your matter into consideration for the next update, don't know when it will be yet.
Alternatively, if you want to have a look at it yourself, I can offer some guidance with the Toolkit project.

So let me just understand, If I’m playing as a male character, I can still romance female characters right? This will just make it so dude characters aren’t constantly trying to **** me? And it won’t effect anyone’s quest or approval?

Edit: also this doesn’t remove sex scenes with male-female characters, right? Just trying to get the full scope of this mod currently. I just don’t want to constantly be hit on my dudes while playing as a male Tav. Everything else can stay.

Because “removal of over sexualization” can mean allot of things. At the end of the day, this is still rated M game, so I don’t mind seeing sex, nudity and all that other stuff in the game. The only thing I don’t want is for my male Tav to be constantly propositioned for sex by other dudes, simply because I wasn’t a piece of **** towards them.

I might. They have the “romance revamped mod“ on the Nexus, and there is an option that only enables straight romances. For that mod, it basically only removes same sex romances, without affecting the approval. The problem is that mod isn’t working anymore, at least for me it isn’t.

I’m just wondering if that mod and this mod are the same basically.

To clarify things, none of the sexual scenes have been touched. Pun intended. The scenes have been left intact and are part of other Dialogue not included in this mod.
Approval is affected insofar that certain nodes with approval changes are restricted by gender. The restrictions also lead to no degenerate same-sex pestering by the companions.
No side quests are affected by this mod though the dialogue Lore and I edited is reflective of choices made within side quests. Well, if the companion quests can be considered as such.

IDK why they made this games romance system in the way where characters try to hit on you, just because you weren’t a complete piece of **** to them. The game has some other flags related to Dating, though not named as such. Likely a culprit for this comment from Karlach. I will look into it. If you can provide the exact line by Karlach, it is appreciated. Makes it very easy to find the file then.
This mod doesn't require any translation. At least yet. The game shares the same UUIDs for each language, though there may be additions for some. Like with French.

For the previous posts: The other issues are still looked into. Those being: the Spellteaching by Gale in Act 1 and the triggers in Act 2, a few more Dialogue choices of Halsin in Act 2 which has been an oversight, and the neutral scenes of Gale and Wyll being blocked.

But they do make sure all body types and races are able to do the exact same thing. So let's say they updated a greeting or something. The women aren't left out. Women get that too. And it also brings back old dialogue that was scrapped. And so forth. Shadowheart in that mod is more immersive and she isn't picky on who she is with. Because lets face the facts, Shadowheart would be happy to be with a male or a female as long as they make her happy. Its pretty much seen throughout the entirety of the game. Especially a Gith, because let's face it. Shadowheart and Lae'zel are defiantly canon. Either way. I will stick with being able to be with Shadowheart as a female Gith Selûnite Durge.

Shadowheart dates Giths? Can you explain more? I don’t get it
