For anyone playing it already, any news on the combat? It reminded me of Mordhau when I first saw it and really liked how involved they were to keep it real and true to how things work.

For the rest, I was neutral about it all as, in my opinion, the more choice the better, though I became incredibly suspicious at seeing they added "token black man", but I thought that way because I did not know the original game. After reading more into it, how it was a kickstarter, how it proclaimed a lot of things, and even saying it is something inspired by someone that really existed, this truly feels like a betrayal on many different levels. Kingdom Come's style of storytelling just from what I read was more akin to "follow the story of __ " which is not exactly a true "make your story" RPG the likes of Dragon Age, and more akin to, I would say, something like Geralt with Wiedzmin (The Witcher) where he is him and you have a few choices but are, ultimately, following the character's progression more than making your story, which I believe is completely opposite to how the original game, and this sort of game, works. Whatever excuse this Vavra is making is just padding to say why he is right and you are wrong, said well after he got the money he needed to not have any need for the fanbase that helped him create this game in the first place. This is my opinion as an outsider looking in on a franchise I only just heard about, and I believe majority of the sales, if not all, are new to the franchise like me that only saw a few trailers and have not read more into it

Like I said, I'm not surprised. Baldur's Gate 3 received wide acclaim despite everything 'it' does, and KCD2 is no different. I'd wager a lot of alt-right, Hitler-loving "CHUDS" will buy and enjoy this game too.

Why would they not? 0.001% of the content is "woke". It's not even remotely comparable to something like Veilguard or BG3, where there are ****** and asian elves and dwarves everywhere, as well as gays, ******** and girlbosses. If you went into this game completely blind, probably the only remotely controversial thing you'd run into is Musa.

It is less woke than Veilguard and BG3, but Hyborian you are missing the point. KCD:2 is more woke than KCD and that is the problem. Conservatives always lose because we are willing to compromise. If we want a game with 0 woke elements and the publisher wants a game with 10 woke elements, we proclaim victory when they reduce it to five. That five then becomes the new baseline and come the next game we are arguing for just a mere five woke things, publishers want 15, and we again claim victory when we negotiate it down to 10 despite 10 being intolerable just a few years ago!

The only way we win is by being as uncompromising as our enemies. The left want you broke, dead, your kids raped and brainwashed, and they think it's funny. Why even attempt to compromise with them?
