I used mods to remove the slow motion and make master strikes/perfect dodges only work for you and NPCs when you're mirroring stances and the combat is perfectly fine*

Imagine old-fagging on a forum that isn't even 2 years old to someone whose account is only about 3 months younger than your own. I guess what they say is true: You can take the femboi out of the Codex, but you can't take the Codex out of the femboi.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
Wow. Dragon Age Veilguard was absolute dogshit,I would think that KCD 2 would be better.

One breastplate, one chain hauberk, and three gambesons.
Swords work decently against all of those.
The breastplate only defends the central vitals, the chain can be hacked/pierced through, and the gambesons, while decent, are limited armor.
Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.

That really boiled me up about DA2. I mean, the whole game ******* sucked, but they did my bro Anders so dirty.rusty_shackleford wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 19:11Your best pal Hans is getting the dragon age Anders treatment, I'd rather not play it at all.Unhelpful Contrarian wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 19:09Wow. Also melee combat in KCD sucked and most of the combos are impossible to pull off, but you figure out how to work around it. The longsword is the basic ***** weapon for most of the game and the mace is good for the latter half. I tried to like the combat, really I did and I appreciate what they wanted to do with it, but it just don't work. The archery is much better and I took that really well.

Well, the answer to plate was the pollaxe (or just axe to use its proper name). Realistically, most weapons would be pretty pointless apart from the pollaxe. It's silly that polearms were never implemented properly.rusty_shackleford wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 19:32The game happened to be set in the era where armor was being, for lack of a better word, perfected and firearms had not yet begun to catch up. If I recall correctly, halberds (simpler and longer) began to be popularized in European armies during the early 1400s, around the time of the game. They are effective, when in numbers and used by trained soldiers, against both heavily armored knights and untrained mobs of peasants.TKVNC wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 20:06Well, the answer to plate was the pollaxe (or just axe to use its proper name). Well, untrained peasants weren't really a feature of the High to Late Middle Ages. But yes, they're a squad based weapon - FWIW, the pollaxe was primarily for anti-armour, whereas the halberd is a general weapon.Irenaeus wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 20:20If I recall correctly, halberds (simpler and longer) began to be popularized in European armies during the early 1400s, around the time of the game. I'm sure they will be fairly OP in the game, but in reality, crossbows and even longbows from back then did not have anywhere near enough force behind them to penetrate plate armor. Not even most modern crossbows, longbows or even compound bows are capable of piercing plate armor. In fact, the following video features a test with what might be the worlds most powerful modern compound bow and it was only just barely able to make a small hole in the armor and still wasn't capable of full penetration.Rand wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 20:11They're in the new game, including crossbows.TKVNC wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 20:06Well, the answer to plate was the pollaxe (or just axe to use its proper name). Yeah I wouldn't trust what Normdymion has to say even though Vavra's a faggotron. Normdy's info is mostly 'trust me bro'-tier, and he's been caught praising Kay Vess from Star Wars Outlaws before he got the 'anti-woke' memo, and for saying in Starfield vid that anything more than they/them pronouns is "too much"
Yeah, traditional ranged weapons were never really that potent against full harness, it's why guns were adopted so quickly.skdursh wrote: β January 26th, 2025, 23:49I'm sure they will be fairly OP in the game, but in reality, crossbows and even longbows from back then did not have anywhere near enough force behind them to penetrate plate armor. The Battle of Verneuil is a good example; the armour of the Italian mercenaries was practically impervious to the longbow, and they routed nearly the entire English ranged contingent alone. The only thing that appears to stop plate in the 15th Century is a pollaxe.
