Portraits are woke filth and all need replacing. Fortunately doable.
Goth girl is super overpowered. Dominates everything to the point it's a cakewalk to have her along.
Princess mutant (Cassy) is also ridiculously overpowered and usually wipes out anything before the rest of us have a chance to kill something.
Co-Op Only: Sister of Large Spheres and Flamethrowers will cause a de-sync 9/10 times when attacking multiple enemies. Is still likeable somehow so we keep her along anyway.
Every governor is a moron.
The last Rogue Trader was an idiot. And had bad hair. Not sure which is worse.
Generally speaking, aside from the garbage portraits, not terribly woke. At least so far. NPCs even have actual preferences.
Only case of woke I can think of so far is somebody asking the elf sniper girl to bork and it was a woman. Which is heretical and clearly we needed to toss said woman out the airlock. No option to do so: hence, 1 woke point.
Mostly a fun time in co-op at least. The setting is bonkers but I can finally concede WH40K has some charm totally missing from base WH.
EDIT: I should also note, as this is a co-op game, no romances were tried other than a joke and it was rejecting The Gay. Finally. However not sure if other companions similarly reject or not.

Letting you **** some ugly scarred up negro before the Governess of Janus is insanity.
How was this even possible?
Although I had to think about it, because we replaced the 2 black mutants with new character portraits and models. One was this hideous and incompetent enforcer woman who likes big sticks. (Devs did that one, not me! ) Turned her into a middle eastern woman and even then I want to toss her out an airlock.
The only other one I know of is Idira. Some curious bits about her. She's actually kind of likeable now but here's what we did:
Replaced her disgusting, hideous, heretical portrait with a nice greek woman. (We're using Flux so it matches the style well and everybody is a non-potato head.)
Turned off her awful VA. Some of the worst stuff I've heard since Skyrim or FO3/4.
Swapped her in-game model to also not be quite as disgusting and with a proper skin tone.
Once all that was done, I kind of like her now. She has funny commentary and I'm not wanting to plug my ears every time she has a VA speech.

hmmm, greek women. But you really need to give her lines, even better if they are with a heavy greek accent.
If this game's graphics evoked John Blanche's 40k, or even the real RT 80s, I'd have kept playing. It doesn't, so I quit. The plastic unity store look doesn't suit 40k. muh imershun was broken in the chargen.

Well I guess it’s good or concerning news that there moving to the Unreal Engine 5 for there next game.

Its still going to have that plastic look the graphic artists like these days.
I finished it and this game is a painful 50/50.
For every cool thing in it you get two boring and mind-numbing ones.
This easily could've been 10/10 game with extra polishing, the foundation is solid but everything on top of it is so crooked.
I wish the writing was better and that horrible, awful, no good perk system wasn't the way it is, it is excessive where it could've been just normal.

Yeah that reminds me of a few things I didn't touch on.
Wounds == Health!? What idiot made that decision? "When your character is at full wounds..." What!? So the character is almost dead then?
You are so right on the levelling system. It's a total mess. I'm hardly new to RPGs, even the complex types and it still takes me forever to make a decision and it's usually the wrong one.
It serves as a great example of why levels should be staggered in party-based RPGs if it's anything more than "click button to go up level". Having to stop to spend 20 minutes to level up your party sucks, especially in the early game when it's every other combat encounter.

Thanks for the info. Game just looks awful to me. I couldn’t understand someone playing 10 hours of this, let alone 100+. These bloated uninspired games are like the complete antithesis of the games I like and the interesting uses of the medium.
How many hours do you guys have? Do people really play these slop games for hundreds of hours? I thought this was just a marketing gimmick.
We're at 157 and not out of Chapter 2 (actually I think we're in chapter 3 ) yet. But co-ops go a lot slower too. I only play co-op. I may do a run on my own after we're done. In a year or something. (We play once a week usually. Most of our games last 1 to 1.5 years.)

I have over 150 hours. Most likely will do a second round when the last DLC for the season pass comes out sometime in spring if it’s doesn’t get delayed.

Owlcat has put out a survey for what you would like for future Rogue Trader DLC ,most likely for the one coming in spring or making another season pass 2.

You mean the Slaaneshi *****? Now, call me crazy, but I'm not sticking my **** in some demonic-space-AIDS afflicted heretic.
My Priest/Commissar Full-Dogmatic run is going to be so cathartic.

Skyrim Belongs to the Nords.
Geek the Mage first.
There is no virtue in extending mercy to those who want you dead.
Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!
