Hibernaculum, a pixel art dungeon crawler

Post by DagothGeas5 »

Anyone know anything about this game?

It looks interesting and it says it will be an RPG but

Choices only matter, if they matter to you.

is a bit strange, makes me think the choices in question will either be wholly about perks or maybe a type of randomized storytelling where only you are the only living thing to really get an impact from them, much like something akin to Hand of Fate 2 from what I remember from my time playing it.

This is the animation that caught my attention

I am from the phone at the moment, but that doesn't look like pixelart to me. Too clean, not enough pixels from how I am seeing it.

Some other pieces from the game

The game will be DRM free and also be available on GOG.

The one making the game seems to be having some beef with someone, and seems to have detatched himself from people on his previous team, reason why he seems to be going at this alone even though he seems to have made other games in the past.

The someone in question is praising Veilguard and Dustborn and, from his language, seems to think the election was nonsense, so it might be good they cut ties.

Thoughts?

Victor "Butt" Pflug is a ***** who went on a massive legal tirade on the Codex trying to win hearts and minds, because as we all know when you want to win court cases you go to RPG websites to do it, but all it did was turn everyone against him. So, he did the logical thing and started making tons of threads saying the same thing over and over until he got banned. I think he was trying to take total control over the IPs of several games he worked on and I have no idea how much of what he says is true since he's a nut.

I really like the art, looks cool.

Not great what I am reading here though. Well if it's on GoG I will be able to check it out and still support if the nut remains a nut in private and does not corrupt the game, if not then, well, he can get ******.

The one time I don't look things up I **** up, sorry for the double thread
Also, **** this is an iceberg. Thank you for letting me know@rusty_shackleford @Tweed
I have not seen recent signs of bad things from him from recent posts, but as I learned, from you guys here actually  , once someone says he's a *****, there is a high chance of lashing out without reason etc., so, much like with Banquet for Fools, it should be treated with high vigilance.

Edit: I also noticed I must have read through the thread already.

I just suggested to @Furin a: that he suggested that Tomb raider was not woke b: after telling me that this was not the case I edited the post so that it said it was recommended on the list, when it was not. So that I had to correct it again and c: suggested that Jan 14 regarding the Silent Hill entry in the list was before the debate we had in the woke content detector list.

I don't know, I seem to suffer from Brain damage as well sometimes, you are not alone :headbang:
