Yeah I once worked at a place where we used Slack, its kind of like Discord in its utility in having several channels for different stuff. Much better than Teams.
But they are a Microsoft owned company.

I haven't seen anyone use Teams outside video meetings and cloud storage. Anything else is better for text-heavy collaboration.
According to polls, the most popular classes in Pillows 2 are respectively Cipher, Rogue and Paladin ( https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99392-favorite-class/ ). Yet modern Obsidian decided to NOT include any of this 3 classes. Ranger is literally the second least popular class according to poll and is in Avoided. Without its iconic animal companion. Fighter also has not a single interesting ability.
I think it's common knowledge at this point that modern game devs loathe the people who buys and plays their games, so I imagine they saw the things that people liked and actively avoided them + only added the stuff that people didn't like. lolWaterMage wrote: β December 8th, 2024, 20:52According to polls, the most popular classes in Pillows 2 are respectively Cipher, Rogue and Paladin ( https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99392-favorite-class/ ). They also have a particularly distaste for paladins, since they hate the implication of objective good, though they'll couch it as them being "boring."UltraFan123 wrote: β December 8th, 2024, 22:08I think it's common knowledge at this point that modern game devs loathe the people who buys and plays their games, so I imagine they saw the things that people liked and actively avoided them + only added the stuff that people didn't like. lolWaterMage wrote: β December 8th, 2024, 20:52According to polls, the most popular classes in Pillows 2 are respectively Cipher, Rogue and Paladin ( https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99392-favorite-class/ ). Yes, but Rogues could be quite effective with bows, crossbows, pistols and arquebusesrusty_shackleford wrote: β December 8th, 2024, 22:08archer is probably one of the most popular skyrim playstyles
A holy warrior of a order who smite evil demons, devils and undead. It was incredible popular in AD&D times.Tangerine wrote: β December 8th, 2024, 22:35They also have a particularly distaste for paladins, since they hate the implication of objective good, though they'll couch it as them being "boring."

I saw couple of videos on stealth archer build, looks like it is one of strongest if not the strongest build in a game, due to high range damage plus stealth damage multiplier. Never tried it myself.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 8th, 2024, 22:08archer is probably one of the most popular skyrim playstyles
It's because aiming in skyrim especially horrific. When enemies on the move you can miss your shots easily even they come straight at you. And once they reach you hitting them with melee weapons annoying aswell. Hard hitters like dragons, constructs can even dodge your carefully aimed shots due to stupid combat design so most people prefer stationary targets.

The Outer Worlds didn't really push a message though, Tim and Leonard are still consistent with that way of doing things.

One of the first games I can think of where all the women were incredibly ugly on purpose and we had to pretend otherwiseRoguey wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 14:58The Outer Worlds didn't really push a message though, Tim and Leonard are still consistent with that way of doing things.
I think ME Andromeda beat it by a bit, but it was one of the earlier ones

They actually did make a pretty woman for the cinematic trailer for the last DLC.
In-game, well, they were limited by what hair and face options they had.
**** "romance".Roguey wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 14:58The Outer Worlds didn't really push a message though, Tim and Leonard are still consistent with that way of doing things.

That is your interpretation, but that opening cutscene with the Canadian execution was not intended to be perceived as a great heroic act by the developers.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 17:29America was the good guy in Fallout, hope that helps.

Fallout 4, just like Fallout 3 and Fallout 76, is non-canon.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 17:30Nate is a heroRoguey wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 17:29That is your interpretation, but that opening cutscene with the Canadian execution was not intended to be perceived as a great heroic act by the developers.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 17:29America was the good guy in Fallout, hope that helps.

"Good guys" who stole money on government contracts and put a defective part in the shelter door reporting that all is well, "lost" the replacement purification chip, fabricated criminal cases to provide bioweapons labs with test subjects. I'm not 100% sure but I think it was mentioned in the game that volunteers were lied to about what would actually be tested on them. "Good guys" who approve experiments which lead to death everybody in the vast majority of vaults. Good guys by americans standards.rusty_shackleford wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 17:29America was the good guy in Fallout, hope that helps.Roguey wrote: β December 15th, 2024, 17:28Those weren't explicit messages.
