We can rebuild her. We have the technology.
I want to use my Turtle CoinsTM on giving Techno the best prosthetics available. I don't know what is available, so figure it out. I want her to be an indestructible war turtle.

I'd suggest also looking into adding laser weapons to her shell.

Episode 10: The Shadow Over Bonkaarelior

A new friend joins the cause.

Image

A trio of Git-- Archons warp in under cover of the ongoing psychic storm. They each have crazy powerful swords they're psychically linked to, and special armor that projects a forcefield around them.

Image

Image

Image

Which would be intimidating if we didn't have walls, railguns, and charge miniguns.

Image

Image

Welcome to prison!

Image

A dwarven clan offers a reward if we simply accept a bunch of their trash. Stack accepts for the psychic neuroformer.

Image

Yeah that's a lot more than I was expecting. It's all going to dissolve and pollute our turf if we don't find a way to deal with it quickly.

Image

Vitya gestates a little cleaning robot.

Image

Which is good because this place is a ******* dump. One might not even be enough.

Image

Just a little non-invasive surgery for our new guests.

Image

Boot makes himself useful by researching. He's also grabbed a bronze spatha since he insists on fighting up close.

Image

Thanks to his efforts we get a solar panel set up outside. It's a little more consistent that wind power, barring any eclipses or smog.

Image

Hauling all of the wastepacks into the freezer to keep them from dissolving. Not enough room for them all though.

Image

A kidney here, a lung there. What do they need two for?

Image

We accept a request to cure someone of notRabies in order to get some information on the whereabouts of the coveted HQ Platinum.

Image

He arrives and immediately goes after a visiting caravan.

Image

They slice his penis off and he wanders away to wail on a rat.

Image

Boon finally arrives to subdue him and accidentally caves his skull in with the butt of his railgun. Whoops.

Image

Setting up extra freezers to store the waste.

Image

Dorf makes Boot a custom fitted suit of plate armor.

Image

One of the prisoners goes berserk for some reason and is a pain in the *** to put down. They really are amazing melee fighters. We have to call in more and more people since he's dodging and parrying nearly every punch.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Setting up a recycling station near the mechroom.

Image

A friendly group of mercenaries tries to get us to pay a protection fee. Maybe we should have paid it, because we get attacked by bandits soon after refusing.

Image

Image

Is that a-

Image

Looks like they have handheld mortar launchers.

Image

Vitya shoots one, causing her to stumble and fire her doomsday rocket launcher. The shrapnel goes flying in every direction and shreds the rest of her group. It's the best thing I've ever seen. He'd get a turtle coin if he wasn't capped.

Image

Quite a few of them came with heavy weapons and exoskeletons, which we'll be snagging.

Image

One of the raiders happened to be Teen Pregnant. We're nice enough to give her a bed.

Image

All of her friends get chucked in the river though.

Image

Another rumbling a new room we're setting up.

Image

I really ******* hate bugs.

Image

Set up a formation to lure them into a crossfire, but the charge minigun puts in work and none of them make it that far. It does run out of ammo though.

Image

Image

Image

It turns out the bots can finish off wounded bugs for us.

Image

Stack converts for a chance at creepy alien pussy. Traitor.

Image

Turns out you can't live without your liver.

Image

Image

But then he warps away moments after death. Archons are weird.

Image

Arctic wolf puppies :)

Image

We decide to take that free shuttle ride to try to find the location of the HQ Platinum.

Image

And land next to this big old structure.

Image

We split into two teams.

Image

The north one opens the door and gets attacked by weird giant insects, but they weren't terrible hard to take down.

Image

The place is littered with skeletons, a few crates, and 6 terminals we need to hack to find the data.

Image

Zoth sets off some sort of trap.

Image

It blows up and causes a fire.

Image

We manage to hack the last few terminals and get out of there before spreads too far and cooks us. Rusty gets a Turtle Coin for staying behind to finish the last one.

Image

Back home it turns out that the Teen Pregnant girl we brought in is due this week. Someone has to decide their fate.

Image

Our little recycling operation is now in full swing. There are different ways to break down the wastepacks, but for now we're turning them reactive chempacks. Reactive chempacks are highly volatile but can be broken down once more into useful chemfuel with some much less dangerous trash as a byproduct. We don't have a way to deal with that trash yet. Maybe with some extra research.

Image

People always want **** from us. We'll send a few guys to check it out.

Image

Oh. ****.

Image

Image

Cultists are completely swarming this little fishing village.

Image

These guys are hopelessly outnumbered and are getting dragged down and hacked up within seconds.

Image

We only sent 6 guys!

Image

Nothing we can do except pull our triggers and pray. Captain swapped his charge minigun for an HMG dropped by a bandit, and Kalarion grabbed one of their modified Saiga-12s.

Image

There's just so ******* many of them. Oscar and Elias went down, all slashed up from ritual blades and flesh tentacle slashes. BD ran out of ammo for his P90 and had to grab Elias' fallen rifle and keep shooting. A lot of these guys have the Death Refusal ability and need to be put down twice, or left on the ground incapacitated. Captain gets a Turtle Coin for mowing down cultists like Rambo with his machine gun.

Image

Hoss and Kalarion move into the village to look for survivors while the others take care of injuries.

Image

Two villagers bleed out as soon as we get there, a couple were able to crawl indoors and we're able to save their lives.

Image

BD happens to find a bionic eye which he pockets for later.

Image

Back home, Boon is securing us a few spare hearts. Oscar does have that defective one after all. He gets a Turtle Coin for his specialized work.

Image

Dorf manages to make two masterworks in a row - the first of our newly researched armor vests, and an airwave headset for Vitya.

Image

It gives him +3 bandwidth on top of his default 6, allowing him to control 3 extra bots.

Image

An extra cave has been dug out for the wolves. We'll try throwing corpses in there instead of the river from now on. A cooler between them will keep the wolf cave nice and cold while venting hot air into the chicken coop to keep it warm during winter.

Image

Dealing with the waste means we're stretching our crafters pretty thin. Nobody's around to produce the new firearms we've researched. Chuck gets a TC for saving the planet.

Image

The team returns home, hauling back a ton of loot and only leaving behind a few toes.

Image

----------------------------------------------------------

Image

@Vitya, @Raviola, and @Elias can choose an expertise.

Image

Image

Image

And oh yeah, Kalarion spent coins to remove his Savant trait.

I think I'm gonna have to order you to cram the hallways with animal sleeping spots or something so the bugs stop breaking in.

Does that actually stop them or is the plan to counter-swarm them with Turtles?

They need a certain amount of free space to break through. I don't remember exactly.

@Oyster Sauce, what is the difference between Sharpshooting and Aiming? If I translate sharpshooting to my language it means precision shooting, but how can you shoot precisely without aiming? Is this bionic eye compatible with my implant :eyebrows: ?

Aiming refers to the time it takes to line up a shot, sharpshooting is making sure the shot you lined up is actually going to hit something. You can replace your eye, yeah.

Than I choose sharpshooting. What I need to replace an eye?

You haven't cooked anything this whole time. It's Hoss, BD, and sometimes Raviola when those two are adventuring.

Episode 11: Rusty Got Run Over By A Reindeer

Early in the morning Rusty is out hunting and incites the wrath of a caribou herd.

Image

One rushes him from behind and knocks him to the ground. They're trampling and goring him pretty good.

Image

But he gets up and keeps swinging his knife!

Image

And then gets his *** beat down again. They spare his life, but not his dignity. One caribou even stays behind to eat his lunch.

Image

One of our guests overdoses on the same drug that killed P'nut. Elias chucks her in the wolf den.

Image

BD found the bionic eye, so he gets dibs. Sorry, Vitya.

Image

We snagged a pair of mini-turrets from the village and set them up at opposite corners of our wall.

Image

Another opportunity to learn the location of HQ Platinum. No idea how many of these quests we need to do to find it.

Image

Dr. Pavel, I'm CIA.

Image

It takes so long to hack that Kalarion gets bored and digs some trenches in case of an attack.

Image

Which turned out to be a bit of waste because they came from the other direction, but a lake is kind of like a big wet trench.

Image

Image

Later that day the second shift fends off another attack.

Image

Image

These impids can breath fire, it turns out. They're still not very intimidating otherwise.

Image

We get the data and the pod self-destructs.

Image

We've started phasing out our bolt-action Lee Enfields with semi-automatic M1 Garands.

Image

We send a team to check out an abandoned biotech lab.

Image

Boon stays behind to deliver a baby girl. We'll figure out what to do with this lot later.

Image

Image

Enemies deploy scattered all over our territory and start moving in.

Image

One lands in our courtyard and blasts Dorf with an explosive round.

Image

Boot closes the gap and slices his arm off.

Image

The turrets have decent range, but ****-poor accuracy. They do a solid job of suppressing and slowing down the advance though.

Image

Boon finally wakes up and takes care of Dorf.

Image

A sick shot from Elias scoops out the majority of this dumb *****'s brain. The rest are driven away despite our shorthanded forces.

Image

Some weird trees with eyeballs have popped up on the edge of the map. Not really sure what's going on with that.

Image

So many baby chicks. We grow dandelions for the to eat during the warmer seasons, and give them hay and kibble through the winter.

Image

The away team has arrived at the abandoned biotech lab.

Image

As soon as they get close, an ambush is sprung so everybody quickly digs in and lets loose. Stack finally gets to try out a flamethrower we grabbed from a fallen bandit.

Image

They burn really well.

Image

Starting to explore the buildings.

Image

Finding a lot of weird technology that I don't really understand. It would require extra research for us to make use of.

Image

Except for this injector Stack found that promises a "random xenotype".

Image

He has Captain stick it in his spine and turns into some sort of hideous beast.

Image

That fire is raging out of control. Probably shouldn't use flamethrowers near our base.

Image

We grab everything we can and depart. Turns out these genepacks need to be kept in a genebank or else they'll deteriorate over time. Luckily we come across another caravan while traveling back home and cash them in for dozens of components.

Image

We need more wolves to take care of all of these bodies.

Image

Crafters hard at work producing armor.

Image

Boon rescued a medicinemaker dryad that came floating down the river wounded. They're typically bonded to a special type of tree, but I guess this guy will just walk around our base and poop out medicine every few days. Nice!

Image

Brand new rec room with billiards, poker, and a dance floor.

Image

We've researched sterile tiles, which reduce the chance of food contamination in our kitchen, boosts medical treatment in the hospital, and raises research speed in our laboratory.

Image

Stack wakes up from a 3 day coma with draconic powers and his hair regrown.

Image

Vitya build a militor, which will patrol the base with its cute little mini-shotgun.

Image

Image

More quests to get done. Dealing with the hive is a priority, but wiping out savages is always a good time.

Image

Kicking the turtles out of the base so they can hopefully graze on something and stop eating our meals. We have so many turtles.

Image

Breaking the prisoner's will to enslave her.

Image

High quality weapons sometimes have artwork engraved in them.

Image

Slave get. Two for the price of one, really.

Image

And the next tier of weapons has been unlocked before we've even replaced half of the bolt-actions. Anybody have a raifu they want to claim?

Image

Anyway, is the map larger than normal? It seems larger than the default.
