I was actually considering it until I realized the main character is some donut steel OC woman instead of Rohan.

They wanted to tell Lem's story from a fresh perspective to be as widely accessible as possible.

I would disagree with Kojima and Death Stranding - it's really not trying to be Metal Gear Solid, and the DLC that adds more MGS-esque content was a mistake. It certainly borrows some aspects of MGS, but the focus of the game is in navigating the environment to deliver packages, balancing gear/package distribution, building up the infrastructure necessary to make delivers easier (which ties into the weight-management aspect). Combat and stealth are not the primary focus of the experience.

Going back to the question, there's Peter Molyneux and pretty much everything he's made since leaving Bullfrog, Glen Schofield and Callisto Protocol, (((Ken Levine))) and BioShock (and soon enough, Judas), all the various BioWare alumni that went on to make ****, Warren Spector, John Romero etc.

It was good for its time, but it wasn't anything "new" in terms of game play, just "pretty" for its time and had a nice clean linear play through.

Never played the "hunt down the freeman", is that a mod?
