HOLY **** you are an absolute ******. People have been playing PoE since 2013, you're the only one who needs influencers to tell you about PoE 2. Maybe you should just **** off to the Diablo 4 thread, where all the dumb kiddies are.

There is ZERO mystery around this one and history is simply repeating itself. Diablo I-II created a loyal fanbase upon which D3 took a massive **** on. Then came PoE and people migrated. Slowly at first, but they did. And now Blizzard released its latest slop, people played it and found underwhelming, much like its predecessor. In comes PoE 2. Will it bury diablo 4? Only time will tell. But this is what happens when you have a playerbase STARVING for a new game of the genre that is actually good.

- journos will ask for a story mode
- tr00ns will whine about the lack of diversity
- a lot of console sales will be refunded/there will be butthurt
- D4 content creators will migrate
- about a month or two from now there will be backlash from people who will be butthurt about the game's complexity

That's one of the reasons I dropped the tax payer's money to buy it. It also just looks like a great game.

@Eyestabber Any Idea how to switch Subaccounts? I linked my xbox with my GGG account and now I have that account and the main account but I can't seem to change it in POE2 anywhere.
Edit: If you get in and are at the character select menu, it is in the right upper corner, I clicked it but then got kicked out. I think my brother was right, by saying "Great, I'll play it next week"

Played it for a few hrs. I like it, I wanted this kind of gameplay. Quick look at steam reviews - "too slow", "too difficult", "soulslike", "this is not poe", etc.

Im afraid they will cave in and turn this into another one button smasher with a few different mechanics.

I have played a witch for about 2.5 hours now. Excellent game, looks great and performs great even at high settings on my modest rig. Some few instances of rubber banding which is to be expected on an early access build.
Best parts about this game compared to D4:
1. Not everyone is brown and a ******, most everyone is white.
2. The characters look like men or women, no crack whores or man jaws.
3. No one is constantly asking me to have gay sex with them.
4. Lots of build variety which I'm sure will be even more of a thing once they get everything put together.
5. The armors and weapons look cool.
6. The enemies look cool.
7. Abilities look cool.
8. I have no idea why people are saying the game is too hard. You might die to some bosses until you learn their mechanics but it's not even close to something like Dark Souls where you will have to teleport back to the start of a frustrating level with 0 souls or something, they are really generous with the checkpoints and you can grind easily.
9. The socket system is better and simpler than POE.
10. You have gold as a currency now instead of scrolls of wisdom.

It feels like a great and solid spiritual successor to Diablo II to me, it's far better than D4 and much better than D3. I don't even know how someone could seriously say that D4 is the better game at this point.

This game performs far far better than D4 on my linux machine. Playing D4 was like wading through pudding and there isn't that much to do aside from grinding those red world events which I have already forgot the name of.
