Bad level design
We've moved on from talking about Dark Souls 1's second half keep up.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

This set looks like ****. The DLCs had some garbage moments and recycled bosses. The game had probably the worst level design of all Souls games. The combat system and spell and weapon diversity were better than other Souls games. PVP was the best of all Souls games, by far.

I hope your character didn't wear that embarrassing "not Boba Fett" getup. I disagree that Dark Souls 2 had the best fashion. Bloodborne is better, though less diverse.

Man Fallout New Vegas is great but it doesn't have a full set of enchanted ebony armor like Oblivion does.

Dark Souls 2 was probably the last non-derivative-slop Souls game.

No poison swamps, no Patches, no edgy and nihilistic end of the world plot, gamey as hell areas (lava castle! yay!) instead of boring copypasted gothic cathedrals. People ****-talk ADP, but it was a decent albeit flawed attempt at balancing the game away from the usual 'roll like a ******' combat system. People ****-talk sluggish movement, but at least in made spacing matter (as opposed to subsequent entries where you can roll 20 times in a row and chug estus in a fraction of a second). Tons of cool magic spells (some of which were removed in the sequels), bonfire ascetics, challenge run covenants, best armor sets in the series, best environmental hazards in the series. And the most important thing - bosses weren't multi-phased tryhard anime clones of Artorias on cocaine doing backflips and spin-to-win uninterruptible combos.

Probably the most fun to replay game in the series too.
theres like multiple poison focused areas in the game and a boss fight that takes place being bogged down in poison water unless you do some goofy thing to clear it up, i forget what it was because only **** players need to resort to such n00b tactics

didnt even mention the best part which was the pvp meaning you likely played way of the blue thus making you a ***** who needed the blue rpghq moderators to come help you when a savage glowing red brute like me invaded to wreck shop
