Yeah it has less features, it follow Paradox DLC release cycle stuff so CK2 just has a deluge of more stuff.
In some ways it's a more fun and better game than CK2, sometimes when you are playing CK2 you just press 5 times speed and zone out, in this game there's much more to do at any time. I think it's better in many ways but that's just my opinion.
I have about 335 hours in CK2 and 150 in CK3, I have made a mighty empire in both and it was more fun to blob in CK3.
I also think the UI and graphics are better.

It's a map painter with dog-**** AI, the worst warfare representation ever. Crusades are somehow even more broken than in CK2; this time, they completely removed naval from the game :groan: . Immersion-breaking faggotry: no death sounds (I am not even jokingβ€”they removed them because the devs were uncomfortable hearing them), no republics (probably will be added later on as a measly $30 DLC), ChatGPT-goofy, repetitive events, etc.

The only improvements are mobile 3D graphics, the dynasty system (pretty op and unbalanced in some areas), and the latest DLC, which made it possible to play with landless characters. The only thing I care about in CK3 over CK2 is the potential for total conversion mods because apparently, CK3 is more moddable. But considering that, for example, the AGOT mod still isn’t capable of making places like Moat Cailin, the Eyrie, and the Bloody Gate matter, while navalβ€”an important part of the universeβ€”is nonexistent in the base game, I doubt that claim.

I mean CK3 focusses more on the RPG part of the whole thing, it is less strategic and tactics. Which is not a bad thing tbh, but there is a reason why people tend to play CK2 over CK3. (not one of them since my autism isn't enough to bear CK2)

Wait, so this whole argument is simply because someone made a quick mod that does some minor adjustments to an ini file to remove some DEI **** and since it is a simple change, what? He shouldn't have made it?

Or are you saying he should have just linked a quick text list of the things that need to be changed to do the same thing?

I was able to find most of the places gays were getting in and many of them were self inserts from the devs (look how quirky I am, I'm a bisexual Indian). So now when you start everyone is straight.
There's an event I'm tracking down that is generating bisexual characters during the game still though.

Now that I think about it, this doesn't really say what I wanted it to say.
I think the original advice was to just go modify the defines file and set the gay gen rate to 0. Unfortunately, although that does help a little you will still run into hardcoded gay characters created via events.
That's not even going into the GUI changes I made and plan to make more (remove sexuality as a search option, remove it from character sheet when I can guarantee gays don't exist anymore etc).
I'm biased because I'm putting in the work but I think this is a valid mod.

Also registered to thank the author, it is a well done thorough cancer removal. The only thing I am not quite sure of is why is this in 00_defines.txt:
RANDOM_CHARACTER_DIPLOMACY_MAX = 1
Other skills are untouched, and it looks too global to be related to DEI stuff. A mistake, maybe?

I wanted to drop some useful commands I've been using as well.
At the start of a new game, to straighten every leftover homo:
effect = { every_living_character = { set_sexuality = he } }
After that, I use these commands once and my game has not generated any homo character in a year so far:
effect = { set_generated_asexuality_chance = 0 }
effect = { set_generated_bisexuality_chance = 0 }
effect = { set_generated_homosexuality_chance = 0 }
Specific to this mod, to add the woman trait to all women who are still missing it:
effect = { every_living_character =  { limit = { is_female = yes } add_trait = woman } }

I'm happy to remove homosexuals part of the mod (I already did in my file after my carefully groomed heir decided to be gay) but will likely utilize dagal's fix as well if I start a new game

What I've really been missing in CK3 is something to prevent race-mixing. Why are there Nubians in my Holy Roman Empire? Why is my Iberian stallion heir in an affair with a pox-riddled infertile gypsy? Why are Muslims giving me gifts, becoming my friend, or even presuming to talk to me? I don't know how you could achieve it, but this needs to end.
Made this in photoshop real quick. Something like this. I don't know exactly how, but in my ideal world this is default applied to anyone above the "extreme malus" section. Maybe the extreme malus section could also have a minor malus to dissaude any fraternization attempts.

CK3 is one of my favourite games and this mod has really improved my experience. Is there any chance we can get an update now the Khans of the Steppe is out? How can we contribute? I look forward to the other planned ideas.
