[Solved] Crashing upon Nightsong cutscene after Balthazar fight
When finishing the Shadowfell portion of Act 2, the game consistently crashes upon fading to black after Shadowheart's dialogue. If I remove all mods except Voice override, the cutscene plays properly and the game doesn't crash. Please contact me if you need any more information, I play this mod with my family and I'd like to help as much as possible.

I can't deactive all those mods because the MC is custom race. The only solution is just kill Nightsong.

Hi, sorry for the late reply.Kain wrote: β November 8th, 2024, 18:25I can't deactive all those mods because the MC is custom race. The only solution is just kill Nightsong.
Did you by any chance drop the mods in mod folder manually and then ordered them in bg3 mod manager?

At the very least No Alphabets should not be dropped in the mods folder.Kain wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 02:29Some, I think.orinEsque wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 01:28Hi, sorry for the late reply.

Another person had this issue. And all he had to do was clear his mods folder and reinstall everything by dropping them in bg3 mod manager directly, and ordering there.
Also make sure your bg3 mod manager is up to date.

Thx for trying to help but still not work for me, maybe another the mod that cause the problem.orinEsque wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 03:37At the very least No Alphabets should not be dropped in the mods folder.

On another issue, in the quest "free the artist", after completion, the journal real:" Oskar paints a portrait of us and gifted it to us as thanks for our troubles."
Please understand that you can do this quest solo and Oskar will only paints ONE portrait regardless of team numbers. Only the character who talks to him receives the gift. And the painting is called "the hero (not heroes) of Baldur's Gate". So "a portrait of us" would mean the MC seeing him/her/it-self as "us" while not including the others at all. But I suppose this is now normal in English so whatever...
I've never seen they/them users refer to themselves as we. Like i said rather than a ****** thing, it's a lazy coder thing.Kain wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 10:16Thx for trying to help but still not work for me, maybe another the mod that cause the problem.orinEsque wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 03:37At the very least No Alphabets should not be dropped in the mods folder.

And I do not care if it's a political or ****** thing. I just want to know if it's acceptable in English. Like if you go to an English test with this kind of gramma, would you lose point because of it. Or normal people would look at you strangely etc...
Btw Nightsong is still referred as she/her/daughter when you meet Visconia at the end of Shadowheart quest line, incase you don't know. Maybe you need to use the spear to see it.

Here's the weird thing, I downloaded every one of the mods you have on that save, and still I can't load your save. It sits at 0% and won't progress.Kain wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 19:42And I do not care if it's a political or ****** thing. I just want to know if it's acceptable in English. I loaded my save which was saved with no mods. I loaded it with all the mods you have, and the cutscene played perfectly. I also noted that you have a lot of aasimar mods, could that have something to do with it? I'm not sure. I can't replicate this error you get.
note: Another person here said their save was corrupt and they had to come back from a different save point to get the cutscene to play.
Which line exactly is this?Kain wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 19:42Btw Nightsong is still referred as she/her/daughter when you meet Visconia at the end of Shadowheart quest line, incase you don't know. Maybe you need to use the spear to see it.
It's weird grammatically, i think, I would make a bug report to Larian, since it doesn't seem to be a political thing.Kain wrote: β November 9th, 2024, 19:42On another issue, in the quest "free the artist", after completion, the journal real:" Oskar paints a portrait of us and gifted it to us as thanks for our troubles."

it looks like you are using the old version of No Alphabets Voice. The current version should not be highlighted brown, nor be in override. Could you try redownloading all the No Alphabets mods and try again?

Thx for trying to help. Guess I will start a new game without any race mod and see how it goes.orinEsque wrote: β November 11th, 2024, 01:22It's weird grammatically, i think, I would make a bug report to Larian, since it doesn't seem to be a political thing.
You can brag about killing Selune's daughter(not son) in Nightsong's quest if you did so, even with ABC mod on.
I don't think reporting to Larian will help. It's how things roll nowadays.
if you could screenshot me the line, i'd be ever so grateful.Kain wrote: β November 11th, 2024, 03:52Thx for trying to help. Yep, crashes as the screen fades after saving the Nightsong.. tried multiple times without skipping any part of the cutscenes.
