near anytime they tried creating something new it flopped
I wouldn't say they specifically targeted existing IPs, more that the other attempts just failed

Also, as one of the Sweet Baby Inc people said, they want to burn down the industry as well to get back at all those evil white males! Most of these fools have no care about the future other than pushing their diatribe and will burn the boat they are in even if there is no land near.J1M wrote: ↑ November 1st, 2024, 23:06Nonsense, they went there because the IPs had large audiences of the people they wanted to influence and knew said audiences would buy anything at least a few times.Rand wrote: ↑ November 1st, 2024, 22:34Unironically, yes. Programs that have as a principle putting checkbox people into prominent, high value projects, as equity adjustments and virtue signaling visible diversity that they can point to.
In-fighting? Erik Kain has been making a living converting /v/ threads into Forbes articles for over a decade.
It's a wash, time to cut and run. Which group to we blame for this failure? Gamers, Gamergate, or men?
I only know Forbes to be leftist hack publication though. The fact that this is allowed out during this "crucial" time by that publication made me think they were in-fighting as I had seen several ****** screaming this is making them look bad.Oyster Sauce wrote: ↑ November 1st, 2024, 23:11In-fighting? The next Larian game is going to be all about playing an ugly ****** having sex with everything you can beat into submission.
Yeah, there are Steam posts made by ***** freaks calling this out being deleted in order to silence the alphabets who also hate this game. Steam is being quite "queerphobic" right now. lmfaoXenich wrote: ↑ November 1st, 2024, 23:17I only know Forbes to be leftist hack publication though. Replacing oxygen with a mix of copium and their own farts must be quite the drug indeed.

...on second thought, that's a terrible example. The Last of Us has NEVER been good and it has always been woke trash slop. Yes, even the 1st one.
You should the comments section. Pure delusions that the game is is huge success and the chuds were wrong.UltraFan123 wrote: ↑ November 1st, 2024, 23:54Replacing oxygen with a mix of copium and their own farts must be quite the drug indeed.
Even funnier how they ignore releases of BG3, Elden Ring, Black Myth: Wukong single player games that were In the hundred of thousands concurrently.
******* Owlcat had 65,000 peak numbers which had 1/10 the budget of Dragon Age: Veilgaurd. It’s embarrassing numbers by all metrics.
How can you not be a fan of BioWare number one shill.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ November 1st, 2024, 23:51for fucks sake give a warning if you're going to link a video of that creature

Much like Uncharted, TLOU1 was competently made derivative slop. It generally did not come up with anything new or revolutionary - the gameplay and story beats were a pastiche of well-trodden tropes, but it was all done with a degree of polish and flair that was rarely seen in the industry at the time.Cipher wrote: ↑ November 2nd, 2024, 00:01The Last of Us has NEVER been good and it has always been woke trash slop. I think both franchise (at least until the **** took over) are proof that you don't really need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to storytelling, popular tropes are popular for a reason, they tickle something in the human brain that makes them timeless. All these leftists trying to "subvert expectations" and "deconstruct narratives" just show how far removed and alien from normal people they are.
To be fair I don’t think anyone would use there IRL physical features for there avatar if it looks unflattering especially in his case.
Marlene, a stronk independent negress somehow "fought the totalitarian rule of the military" for who knows how long and was "smart" enough and with enough leader qualities to have some sort of authority within the fireflies. All of this, in a post-apoc setting where might makes right. And this is all in the 1st game, before the '***** took over'. She should have been a corpse on the streets after being raped like it happens today in Congo.gerey wrote: ↑ November 2nd, 2024, 00:07Much like Uncharted, TLOU1 was competently made derivative slop. You forget that Neil Cuckman always wanted the Last of Us to be woke as ****, it was everyone else with any sway at Naughty Dog that reigned him in, this is why when he had absolute power after the 1st game, he just made the game and the awful HBO series more blatantly pozzed than before.
It was baby's first 3rd person shooter and somehow, because the game tugs at the Player's heartstrings by making you bond with a surrogate daughter, people cried for her plight and wanted to save her and lie to her in the end. As a story, its garbage. And as a 3rd person shooter is mediocre at best. I cannot believe anyone older than 13 years old was "wowed" by the package, as even stuff like gears did the shooting and the "presentation" aspect better, Silent Hill did the feeling of horror and dread better and countless movies and books have done that story way way better.
And that's the "MaStEr PiEcE" that keeps getting remade every new moon, because Cuckman cannot make anything new to save his life. Nevermind the even worst sequel.

Fireflies are portrayed as inept cretins though. Everything they touch turns to putrid ****. One of the safe zones they pushed into revolution turned into a den of cannibal raiders, their research into the cure was a complete and utter miss (with one dumbfuck Firefly dying because a monkey bit him). The ending of the game has you gleefully gunning down every Firefly in sight.Cipher wrote: ↑ November 2nd, 2024, 00:24Marlene, a stronk independent negress somehow "fought the totalitarian rule of the military" for who knows how long and was "smart" enough and with enough leader qualities to have some sort of authority within the fireflies
I'm not sure whether it was intentional or not, but the narrative does not paint the Fireflies in a good light.
Fair, but the DLC, the one Cuckmann wrote, was far more egregious in pushing the woke, and ultimately she gets a bullet to the face anyway.Cipher wrote: ↑ November 2nd, 2024, 00:24She should have been a corpse on the streets after being raped like it happens today in Congo.
Yes, okay, but none did it all at once, which was my point. Uncharted and TLOU1 are "the whole package" - derivative to the extreme but pushing all the trope buttons people like, and packaged in gameplay that is inoffensive and engaging enough to keep people entertained.Cipher wrote: ↑ November 2nd, 2024, 00:24I cannot believe anyone older than 13 years old was "wowed" by the package, as even stuff like gears did the shooting and the "presentation" aspect better, Silent Hill did the feeling of horror and dread better and countless movies and books have done that story way way better.
Make note, I am not arguing they are masterpieces, just that they are polished and competently made products designed to please normiecattle.
The game portrays Joel as being in the wrong because he lies to Ellie about what happened instead of giving her the truth. It's a world where the only people who survived are bastards.gerey wrote: ↑ November 2nd, 2024, 00:38Fireflies are portrayed as inept cretins though. Everything they touch turns to putrid ****. That's the second game.Roguey wrote: ↑ November 2nd, 2024, 00:51The game portrays Joel as being in the wrong because he lies to Ellie about what happened instead of giving her the truth.
In the first game it's outright spelled that the Firelies have no clue what they're doing, and the procedure will kill Ellie for nothing. The Firelies are the villains of the last arc, no better than the military or the various gangs that roam the wasteland. In the end Ellie sees through Joel's lie, but still decides to stay with him because she trusts him.
Cuckmann and his ilk are the only mentally ill freaks that viewed what Joel did as morally wrong, something that was vehemently rejected by the audience to the point it killed the franchise.
