I bought RPG Maker XP many moons ago because I hated myself and it was on sale. I fancied myself a WEAVER of WORLDS and a writer of awesome (not-so-final) phantasies.

But I never did **** with it because of low-T/tiny penis syndrome (that and I ******* hate JRPGs, they STINK).

But I am now inspired by my fellow rpg hq soldiers. Those who wish to delve into the DARKNESS together and grasp the jewlie-jewels of the soft loam of the Black Earth.

So, because I am tired and ********, I'm going to use random chance to forge ahead on this powerful journey. Using random tools and ****, like Slope GPT and etc. Should be fun, idk.

Then I can be beaten into a pulp for contributing to the **** heap known as RPG MAker games.

You gotta admit RPGMaker is really **** unless you do what @Witchgrove Games does.
Everytime I see an RPGMaker game on steam I just hit ignore so fast, the site can't keep up

I liked RPG Maker. Can't remember which one it was but I spent a bit of time with one of them making something a quarter decent.

Sure, most RPG Maker games are terrible. So are most Unity games, or Unreal games, or whatever platform is used - because most people making games are terrible at it.

But someone with skill who really understands the framework being used can make something good. Besides Vaeltaja (very good), there's also:

Now I'm feeling the urge to make an isekai-themed RPG, but I make fun of the ****** tropes in the genre. Including the idea of "making fun of the OP-protagonist trope" by making the main character have a "superweak" ability that turned out to be secretly super stronk, an idea that has been so overused that it's now a trope in and of itself. lol

The "chill farmer" isekai was also originally supposed to be stories making fun of the OP-protagonist, but that too is another overused trope at this point.

Mmm, now that I think about it, isekais making fun of isekais is - ironically - also another overused trope as well now.

Fear and Hunger was made in rpgmaker. Not for everyone, but it does have its moments.
