A city builder game with an Eldritch Horror flavour added to it. I've briefly had fun with the demo but don't think I've had enough time to form a solid opinion yet.

Faith/fanaticism is your main currency. Villagers with high zeal will generate more faith. You satisfy your villagers needs to raise their zeal. Their needs range from robes, certain buildings, corn, clams etc. Villagers can be assigned to jobs in different places and each villager has their own speciality job that they have a bonus towards. You can change this speciality and increase their zeal by performing certain carvings on them. You can do this once every 10 minutes.

Fanaticism is used to unlock new buildings and to get more fanaticism, you spend resources to offer sacrifices to Cthulhu (at an altar).

A lot of it feels similar to Impressions Games type city builders so far except you're not limited by terrain. At least not in the introduction level.

Yeah, I think it is a combination of political influence and lack of talent. You would think that a good artist could produce a result that is far more clever in the ****** insertion rather than the bone shattering obviousness of most modern works I see.
