Despite their extensive alterations I will give 4Kids credit for usually having reasonable voice acting.


Whatever their flaws, they have nothing on the Big Green Dub! (This is not a fan dub, this is commercial quality!)


My understanding for part of this madness is that the script was first translated into french then back to english. The unintentional results of this roundtrip translation are worth witnessing.

They received financial compensation for this... 'work'...

The terms localization and translation are both often being used interchangeably. 4Kids' swapping out the foreign food to match one known in the viewing region is correct localization.


However, I just want it translated more accurately without alterations.

Should 漱玉矶 be translated as the pinyin Shu Yu Ji or as Jade-Rinsing Bank?
