Throne and Liberty - korean MMO from NCSOFT published by Amazon

Post by Yankee Zulu »

This one has been booming for a few days now. I watched the gameplay and I don't really get the appeal. It has literally nothing I havent seen before in other MMOs. It looks pretty and thats about it. Lost Ark had a great action combat and a few interesting concepts. I dont see anything like it here.

Is Amazon marketing really this powerful?

Welcome to THRONE AND LIBERTY, a free-to-play, multi-platform MMORPG. With an always changing environment, Massive Scale PvPvE, and the ability to transform into creatures to battle across land, sea, and air.

I think they did this themselves. Like with skins witch they censored.

Koreans would have never done something like this. I can bet my balls this was part of the deal with Amazon. Sure maybe it dudnt sound exactly like 'create a ****** continent' but it mostly likely sounded like 'make the game more appropriate for american and european audiences'.

Just looks like another dime dozen generic Korean MMO’s that been coming out lately.

Whatever happened to that game, btw? Are the servers still online or did it get terminated?

I meant amazon censored skins in lost ark. Also I made assumption that amazon added ****** content themselves. In this case, I assume that ****** vikings is also amazon home made changes.

My interest was piqued when I heard it was effectively Lineage 3, but then dropped when I saw it was devoid of aesthetics, heard that the combat was bad, and then heard about the monetization issues.

skins yeah thats likely but adding a continent is too major gameplay change to be implemented by a localizer. koreans did it to get the contract with amazon

I made it past the intro, then it gave me a pop up to look at the leveling path, which then told me I could pay for boosts as I level up.

Seems only thing this has going for it is good graphics, you can make good looking female chars and low specc requirement.

Bad things are same timer style combat like most ncsoft games, you are supporting tencent/ccp if you give them money. Pay2win and lots of grind. Only unique thing seems to be that running morph into an animal. And you can probably wait years to get recent korean patch like always. Outfits seem rather tame for a korean mmorpg.

How did this "concept" even become a thing? I seem to see it a lot now. Just more instances of lowkey humiliation ritual crap?

yeah thats like 30% of the shares what are the other 70% I couldnt find good numbers either when I looked it up but I remember reading some articles that tencent is invested heaviely in NCsoft. But even if I am mistaken you can probably get a better gaming experience just playing a freeshard of aion or tera if they still exist just with lesser graphics but no pay2win and maybe less ridiculous endgame item plusing.

And I follow china uncensored/serpentza on youtube. You would be surprised for how much **** china is responsible these days. But most of the media isnt talking about them they cant afford to anger the globalists which want china as their cheap production workshop for the world.

Netmarble, the largest single corporate holder, is a Tencent vehicle.

How your statement is connected to the fact that other guy see "evil china communists" even where there aren't any of them?

Are you really that stupid? Can't you see that the list is sorted by shares ownership in descending order?

Tencent owns only 17,5% of shares, Jun-Huyk Bang (24,1%) and CJ ENM (16, 8%) is enough to outweigh Tencent in any voting process. Is this another satanic panic?
