By default you should display these reaction icons in the panels, but silhouette / "locked", then they're enabled once paid. Proper game p2w style. Then people know what they're missing and are encouraged to donate.

Ofc give a settings switch to hide the "locked" ones from the menu for anyone who isn't intending to pay (at this time).
