Enderal's story is typical anti-religious, germoid commie gobbledygook

It's also literally just the mass effect story
So was that new Picard tv show. Why is the Reaper theme so goddamn popular nowadays?

So the scammers that made The Day Before not only decided to come back from hiding but they are also begging people to give them money. lmfao

Even the first "game" they made already looked pretty sus, yet people still decided to trust them for some reason. I wonder how many idiots will fall for it this time.

To absolutely nobody's surprise, resetera overwhelmingly supports yellow paint in games.

It becomes really easy to understand why video games are the way they are when you realize resetera is the top site outside of standard social media for developers.

Have you not seen those videos of bugwomen taking off their make up? They have those Mission Impossible silicone face masks to hide their ****** up bone structure and have weird wire(?) things to make their ****** up ***** eyelids look normal. Nevermind the fact that there's more paint on their face that was required to paint the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
No wonder they look like dolls.

Beyond Shadowgate got a PC release

Beyond Shadowgate is a TurboGrafx CD sequel to the 1987 Mac and MacVenture game Shadowgate.
Seems like something @Tweed would be interested in.

This looks like it has Deja Vu and Uninvited included as well!

Anyone remember this UE3 tech demo from 2011?. I remember being amazed at how good it looked, and read about how it needed three GTX 580s to run or something to that effect. Once upon a time, gaming was exciting. And apparently it was based on a real game at some point, that got canned after Tencent bought shares and some key staff (like Cliffy B) left Epic Games. Amazing how the company went from this to Fortnite in just a few years.

Paolo was once in the Fuerzas Nacionales de Defensa but was expelled after his father, a drill instructor, found out he was transgender. Paolo then began stealing gear from Talia, and instead of turning him in once she found out, she gave him a DJ deck. According to Matías Alonso, Paolo was undergoing top surgery without any anesthetic and barely flinched.

I have always been doubtful of the veracity of this demo, because even years later, even in this current era, there's just no game that has this kind of precise dynamic lighting.
Image

Just look at how the torch lits the geometry of his face.
Then look at modern games, even **** with RTX like Cyberpunk or Control. Try for a second to ignore that modern games have higher resolution textures, more detailed models etc than this demo and focus solely on the lighting. Can't you guys see it? this demo was superior in every way. Even with RTX the modern games are mostly relying on prebaked lighting and the dose of dynamic light that exists is minuscule and doesn't work in such precise manners.

In fact, the only games I've seen with more impressive dynamic lighting were the path tracing RTX remix of old games, like Quake and Doom. It looks gaudy to have this kind of realistic lighting in a low detail game like Doom 2, but look at the videos, this is exactly what I originally thought games would have in the future after NVIDIA introduced RTX :

But in the end it seems those techniques are too costly to use in a detailed game and can only be exploited in simplistic old games?

It's been many, many years since RTX was first introduced and now I feel the only purpose of the feature is to eat framerate for slightly better reflections no one has the time to look at. Some of the games implementing the feature, like Elden Ring, I can't even tell if I have it on or off.

Diplomacy Is Not An Option leaves early access in a few hours. The 1.0 release adds a story campaign.

It's very similar to They Are Billions with a little Stronghold mixed in, although nowhere near as good as Stronghold.

So apparently, the Ubishit game "Skull and Bones" supposedly had an $850 Million budget, over twice the budget that Concord had.

From some comments I have read about this topic, 11 years ago Ubishit took a massive loan from the Singaporean government so that they could build a headquarters there, but during all these years the Ubishit higher-ups were using the place they built in Singapore mainly as a vacation resort for their favorite employees, while the development of SaB was secondary. And earlier this year the Singaporean government had enough and demanded Ubishit to release the game they promised or they would be sued for fraud.

Ubishit decided to release the ****** game, and now methinks that they would have lost less money had they been sued instead. lmfao

I'm seeing reports that Maria got cleavage added in the retail version of the Silent Hill 2 remake. Hair fixed, man-jaw shaved down. Supposedly Angela may have also been de-uglified. Not sure if it's true, but a small victory if it is.

The real victory would be for this ******* remake to flop. The rabid "fanbase" for this games are corporate bootlickers and people who make the most tumblr-esque posts about James. I saw some ******* ****** create an "apology form" telling all the "haters" to sign it for Bloober after the "reviews" came out. These motherfuckers don't deserve ****, and I want this franchise to be dead and buried rather than be turned into a generic Resident Evil clone.

From all that I have seen, this remake looks exactly like what I expected. A "competent" third person OTS survival horror game that feels like a downgraded version of Resident Evil but with a Silent Hill storyline, told and presented with none of the charm and appeal of the original. Bolstered by modern AAA production value. You know, for the ****** normies to look at and say "WOW SO PRETTY, SO DETAILED" as throw money at their screens like lobotomised chimpanzees. And I'm sure many people will eat it up right away. I'm not so heartless as to say the game looks like complete garbage, but if it doesn't have the vibe and atmosphere that Team Silent was able to create, what even is the point?? Reviewers keep saying Bloober nailed the atmosphere but I'm not convinced from all that I have seen.

The soundtrack is... ok. It certainly leverages modern production techniques and tech. Dynamic range actually ******* exists, and things don't sound as compressed as before. But some of the songs are such huge misses it's insane. The industrial, grunge rock, trip hop/illbient elements have been dialled down quite a bit. There's a clear shift towards post-rock/jazz and orchestral. In short, it just feels like a modernized version of the original, but again, lacking the soul. The only song I actually thought was an interesting and worthy rendition of the original was the new "Reverse Will".

Mark my words there's going to be idiots in the coming weeks who will claim the remake is better than the original.

On that note, apparently, Ubisoft is allegedly planning to release multiple Assassins' Creed games over the next 5 years, most likely remakes/remasters. And there are already people getting hyped for it. What the **** man.

I'm at a point where I hate all remakes with a burning passion. If the ******* ******* at the top actually gave a **** about the industry, they would try to preserve old games and push remasters instead of remakes. My mind cannot process there are people who say, with no hesitations, "remakes don't replace the original, the original isn't going anywhere".
ARE YOU A ******* *******? That's the entire point of the "remakes" we get nowadays.

Maybe 7-8 years ago, I would have been interested in the concept of remakes, but often these remakes are clearly lacking in originality and/or soul. Yeah sure they have "work" put behind them, being triple A games, but they rarely ever capture the essence of the original games, and those that come close, feel more like high quality remasters (Dead Space).

But I digress, the current Silent Hill fanbase drives me insane and good God do I want to torch everyone of those fuckers. They have been so starved of a good silent hill game for so long they will gobble whatever Konami throws at them.
