Its not sexy if it doesn't match the era and station of the character. That stuff should have been in "Larian's official coomer dlc"Scipio wrote: β September 16th, 2024, 07:17Isn't ? I think that whoever decided to make pants with holes above the knees should be shot in the head before their entire family.

So we walked down the hill into all those fears and maybes, all that sorrow, nothing certain in our lives except the frozen earth beneath our feet.

He will say that this a good thing.
Well.. we have historical data to reflect from concerning this. Early European white straight culture tended to be very modest and over the years, going into the creation of the US, this culture was fairly consistent. It did not progress to the "burka" that you attempt to suggest it would.Scipio wrote: β September 16th, 2024, 04:13rusty_shackleford wrote: β September 16th, 2024, 03:531. There's nothing wrong with the slutty dress, that's one of the reason the game should be played
2. Behaving in a dignified manner is more attractive than acting like an african woman on a national geographic special.
First comes dignifying, then what ? Turn them to wear burka ?
Well, I don't judge it, there are different people with their own taste
When we began subscribing to feminist, ***, and various other influences, modesty began to fade until the point where we now have women dressing openly in public like full on whores and **** dangling their junk in front of children.
Seems to me that the only influence that we are in danger of is non-white, ***/fem culture pushing us into moral decadence.
Thank you for proving the point!
W-Why were Astarion's pants changed?
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
He must have soiled them.
Great looking. It did feel sort of awkward to have over-sexualized characters even in a "BG-esque" setting. Really adds up to get the game back to its unpolluted setting. Endorsed!

I'm going to have to object to this one. I think it is a mistake to impose standards evenly on everyone within the setting (same reason I objected to changing the dragqueen at the circus, because that is where they belong), and outliers from different cultures let alone races should be allowed to persist. High Gish'ra K'i'lar I think is clearly a fairly special outlier in her role and presentation, and githyanki not treating sexual morality in the same way humans and the like do is pretty much outright stated.
If anything, it is weirder that this pseudo-lizard-y egg-laying plane-hopping space-race has tits at all.
Edit: Saw the Emperor and Orin on the list too, and I'd object to changing them based in the same logic, as well. Orin is clearly deranged, while the Emperor is literally an alien intelligence from a race of beings categorized as aberrations. I would rather have something making Gortash not look like a ****** in Act 3; it's really jarring to see this unkempt manslut at a type of coronation event looking as he does, and nobody even comments on it. Him looking that way "in the wild" is one thing, but it's idiotic that a Baneite of his caliber would not recognize the importance of shaving when it comes to making an intimidating and inspiring impression.

Yes! Not even Jason Isaac is able to save Gortash as a character, and that means the character is DEEPLY flawed.Luckmann wrote: β September 26th, 2024, 18:37I would rather have something making Gortash not look like a ****** in Act 3; it's really jarring to see this unkempt manslut at a type of coronation event looking as he does, and nobody even comments on it. I think tbh that all the main villains should be rewritten, none of them are well-written and Orin is the worst. "I AM EEEEVIL!! EEEEVIIIIL! YOU HEAR; EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIIL!"
Again I've run into a wall of boredom once I get to BG, so am taking a sidetrip to Oerth and the Temple of Elemental Evil instead.

I think being a Baneite makes him look that way. Read somewhere it's taxing and takes a toll on his worshippers.Luckmann wrote: β September 26th, 2024, 18:37I'm going to have to object to this one. While I do agree that the "main villains" should be rewritten (I could probably write a huge wall of text on how ****** Act 3 is and how I believe even having them as the "main villains" was not Larian's original intent, and that a bunch of writers came in late to **** things up), I do think that that should probably remain beyond the scope of this mod.fkirenicus wrote: β September 26th, 2024, 19:16Yes! Bane and his faith does take a toll on his followers, who are frequently (or become) micro-managing workaholics in positions of power, and it does make some minor sense that he would look the way he does.. in private. I can see Gortash as depicted being his "real" Gortash without any facades or pretensions; proverbially overworked and underpaid, working hard and partying hard, aging like an American president.Finarfin wrote: β September 26th, 2024, 19:21I think being a Baneite makes him look that way. But that's not really what we (or at least I) are talking about. We're not talking about Gortash in the comfort of his own home, or as a lord in private council. We're talking about the Chosen of Bane, God of Tyranny, a servant of The Black Hand. A herald of unquestionable authority and order. And we're talking about him in the context of a gathering of the uppermost nobles and merchants and justiciars and militants of Baldur's Gate, for his own coronation. And nobody even comments on how this milchbubi soyboy hasn't even combed his hair or taken a look in the mirror before showing up.
He looks perfect for how I assume he was originally written, the degenerate crime boss described by Karlach and others, and, presumably, a fairly minor worshiper of Bane. But that's not what he actually is and how he is used in the finished game.
And I'll argue that the lore bears this out. I've never seen a single depiction of a major worshiper of Bane or priest of Bane or Dreadmaster of Bane or Chosen of Bane that did not care for their appearance, let alone in a situation of assuming authority. Appearance and the projection of power clearly matters to these people, and it makes perfect sense that it would.
Just put on a ******* shirt, shave, and comb your ******* hair for the Coronation onwards, Gortrash.

Great mode! Do you plan on dressing up the summons? The angel that clerics summon could use some dignifying.
You mean the male deva? He doesn't seem to clash with lore to be honest.Grouppler wrote: β October 15th, 2024, 11:15Great mode! Do you plan on dressing up the summons? The angel that clerics summon could use some dignifying.

mod.io exists specifically to force proprietary third-party middleware into games so you can only get mods from mod.io

Downloaded the mods for Gale, Astarion, Dignify: Ladies, and Dignify: Gentlemen. Unfortunately, the male and female noble camp clothes still have that bloomer and chaps thing going, though Gale and Astarion are indeed much more dignified. I tried having the Ladies and Gentlemen mods both above and below the Gale and Astarion ones. The noble camp clothes were still sporting bloomers and chaps. My mod order goes Official mods->Dignify->Wylls of Toril->No Alphabets. I also tried putting Dignify mods below Wylls of Toril mods, but haven't put Dignify Mods below No Alphabets yet.
