A particularly incompetently bad implementation of Denuvo, apparently.
Vergil wrote: ↑ September 17th, 2024, 00:42Can't wait for this to happen to Dragon's Dogma 2 and suddenly it can run on my computer.
Unfortunately, it's been determined that the main problem with Dragon's Dogma 2 is incredibly bad (incompetent, really) NPC AI code that wastes massive CPU resources.
It needs a refactor.
It's like that idiocy with GTA online that used absolutely ******** code to do something ridiculously convoluted and recursive (in which the better way was known in computer science, but not used) wasting 95% of the CPU resources on startup.
In that case, Rockstar didn't fix it. A modder found out the problem and showed them how to fix it.

Reject your retarded-wing political programming and learn to think.
If you can.
It’s about minimizing the pain as I said but hey I’m just being realistic instead of give false hope in “trust the plan”, “god will save us “ or whatever copium you want to use.Vergil wrote: ↑ September 17th, 2024, 00:43I don't think trying to get to stage 3 cancer while in the middle of stage 4 is really a solution more like the delusion of an extremely misinformed ****** which coincidentally...Unhelpful Contrarian wrote: ↑ September 16th, 2024, 17:52Right now we’re in the hospice with fourth stage cancer. is what I’m suggesting solving the core Issue no ,is it mitigating the effects that doesn’t end with the West going to the wall at full speed yes.

You can’t go back a stage when the cancer is already terminal Im saying take the morphine/ pain killers to ease pain instead of an agonizing death without it.Vergil wrote: ↑ September 17th, 2024, 01:35Yea I'm the one using copium because I'm not getting nostalgic for stage 3 cancer.Unhelpful Contrarian wrote: ↑ September 17th, 2024, 01:34It’s about minimizing the pain as I said but hey I’m just being realistic instead of give false hope in “trust the plan”, “god will save us “ or whatever copium you want to use.Vergil wrote: ↑ September 17th, 2024, 00:43

These developers get paid 6 figures salaries and some rando fixed it for free with little effort.
The absolute state of games industry.

I remember one instructor I had in school for an Advanced Data Structures course and he was like some Chinese Master out of a Kung Fu movie. You would bring him your work and he would say "Again" telling you to make it smaller, more efficient, etc... Guy was amazing though, seen him take extremely complex concepts and tie in a mathematical solution that brought the code down to ridiculously small levels.
Everything these days is so dang bloated and wasteful.

Everyone knows religion is exclusive with science. Can you think of one country that has produced the massive majority of scientific accomplishments for the past 150 years while also being one of the most religious countries?
Yeah, that's what I thought, chud.

This released today. It had been previewed in a Dungeon Crawler group I'm in. I assumed it was a dungeon crawling RPG, but it appears to be a dungeon crawling shooter.
If it's anything like real life, your entire tenuous livelihood will depend on MtG and Pokemon sales.

I was following Conscript's development and really wanted to try it out. But then the dev made a deal with Team17, and these fuckers delisted the game for my region. I got upset and decided not to even pirate it.
