Isekaing: from zero to zero, a parody musical adventure (RPG???)

Post by ElvenNeko »

Hello! I am ElvenNeko, a solo game developer from Ukraine, and i came here to tell you about the game that i recently released. Here is the trailer:

First think i have to say is that it is not a traditional rpg, and more of a satirical parody musical adventure game. So wo i still post in RPG section?

First, my game is a parody, and it primarily parodies RPG genre. So people who love it and know it well will have more reasons to laugh than anyone else.

Second, there are certain RPG elements in my game - for example, there are an episode where you play tabletop RPG, where you have different choices and different outcomes. Also you have one of tree passive abilities that will affect some of the events in game.

Apart from parodying the RPG, the game has jokes about other game genres, movies, anime, books, and even certain industry-related irl stuff such as censorship, forced DEI and other woke elements, trend chasing, agressive monetisation, etc.

There are not a lot of gameplay - it's a mix of visual novel and point and click quest, where most of the time you will listen to dialogue or songs, and sometimes go around and do stuff. There are no combat (apart from two scenes nessesary for the story).

Example of song:

Game is also rather short, around 3 hours total - but it's densely packed with content, there are no segments where you just do nothing.

Few random jokes examples:

Here is Steam page of the game:

Also, for people low on cash or doubting the quality of the game there are other options. Since i fully support piracy, my game is available on ITCH and various torrents, where people can play it and make sure it's good enough before bying. Though some of the torrent versions might not have a recent huge spelling-fixing patch, since i can't control all of them. Also, if someone will like the game and decide to buy, i would really appreciate a review, since i am missing just one to form a score.

If you have any questions about the game - you can ask here. Otherwise - i hope you will have fun with it. Thank you for your attention.

Just from the Our Lands ballad I am sold, love this type of chaotic humor with things happening even on the behind the scenes!
As for questions, will your game be available on GoG or sites where it doesn't need internet? I like making CDs out of games that I wish to keep, and GoG usually has an offline installer that does the job.

The latest version is on Itch. Not sure about GOG, i don't know their terms of publishing, but might look into that. Also like i said it's on torrents , but i have no way to control the version of the game there.

But the Steam version of the game does not need internet to launch. It does not even require Steam to be launched, so you can copy the game folder somewhere else (to make sure it will not be deleted if you delete Steam) and play it. Just launch the Game.exe in main folder.

Thank you for the info! I miss when I could do what you described and just move the entire game folder onto a disk to make one, glad your game still does it

It is a requirement by Steam, and also i know there are strong anti-ai cult, so i would rather have them avoid the game than complain about that in reviews. Also i have nothing to hide - since i work alone i need certain assets produced by someone else, and with my level of income only ai is affordable (hovewer, i used also a lot of assets made by humans as well, all of them creditted in the titles).

Sadly, i overestimated their abilities of processing the information and still got one complaining about ai. And two sjw guys disliked the satire about "modern audience". But apart from that seems like nobody cares about it and people just enjoy the game.

I can tell you one thing. This 'game' will probably have khokhol language included by default. That means there wont be any 'Give us Ukrainian language!' threads on steam forums. Well tbh Im not sure there will be any threads on the forums regardsing this trash.
