CellFactor: Revolution marketed itself as a game, but was actually a stealth tech demo for PhysX. Not in a tongue-in-cheek way, they worked directly with AGEIA iirc.

It has a sequel, CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars. I do not know if that was also heavily physics based.

I remember playing the demo for this 360 game where the gimmick is terrain deformation. Pretty sure you had grenades that raised the ground and grenades that lowered it. Don't think anyone actually played it.

Loved all the physics stuff games used to do, thought a lot about how great it will be in the future.

One of my favorite types of CS:S maps were the breakfloor ones, where each team is divided by a wall and standing on a bunch of cubes they need to shoot to dig tunnels and hunt down the other team.

Spintires and its spin-offs are worth playing if you like the idea of a realistic driving sim but with absurdly detailed terrain reactivity and physics; the games are challenging enough to make it feel like you've actually conquered your objective after successfully making your way through a morass

Oh, hell yeah, I remember sinking so much time into that in-browser Attack on Titan game. The swinging mechanics were so satisfying to play with. That is what a proper Spider-Man game should copy.
I also spent a lot of time on a 2D physics and chemistry sim called Powder Game or something like that, just blowing up cityscapes. Noita has a similar feel to that, with different liquids reacting to different spell effects.

If you're a Star Wars fan, both The Force Unleashed games are also heavy with physics. They have three different engines working together:

Hey, I liked both of those browser games too. Didn't even have more than the slightest idea about the source manga but the swinging around was cool (until I get eaten).

That's a cool concept. The swinging looks fun.
The customization is gay. As is the arachnophobe-friendly ball at the end there. Arachnophobes don't deserve to play interesting stuff like this, the pathetic wimps. You're 15 times the size of those spiders, you ******, just squish them if you're too much of a pussy to give a spider-bro a lift outside.

The particle effects and physics of F.E.A.R have yet to be matched or surpassed in ANY FPS game released after it. Even the lighting has held up remarkably well. It's almost as if gaming hit the pause button as soon as this one game released.

Saw some footage of really cool looking grappling hook action and then when I looked into it the game turned out to be a ******* early access survival crafter

This looks like Fortnite and Horizon Zero Dawn had a baby and one of the w*men in the preview pics has toothpaste hair.

I would like to play a starship + physics game where you can use gravity from stellar bodies and ignite nebulas as traps. And you aim missiles accounting for the trajectory of your opponent and the effect of gravity.

I wish there were more games based around playing with water physics.

This came out a few days ago. Gonna try it.

Pretty sure it's inspired by this guy's YouTube channel

Spent like 2 hours fighting a flood I didn't bring enough equipment to deal with. Constantly struggling to keep up and find new ways to patch holes and move water from one section to another before giving up. Fun, but underbaked early access game with plenty of bugs and annoyances.
