Reading some of the comments of that thread, I honestly find it funny how they all collectively agreed - for some reason - that you are a White Christian man, specifically. Even though those people are usually the "never assume anyone's gender" mob.
Oh yeah, and that you paid for BG3 even though sailing the seven seas is a thing.
Kind of surprised that this thread hasn't been nuked by the Reddit moderators too.
I mean Orin is a 500lbs heavy white man called Steve.
Fun fact: NeoNazis support Palestine. Remind a leftist today!
I support whichever choice will create the most lulz between Palestine and Israel.
I don't care about either but it's fun to see them stutter.
Shame the conflict isnt more balanced, I dont think **** are even losing soldiers let alone civilians at this point.Sand ****** muslims are closer to early 1800s army than 2000s

Well... no matter what I am, if I don't agree with their cult, I'm a white male nazi.

what likely happened:
designer copy-pasted a random tomb without paying attention
how the ''fanbase'' interprets it:
OMG WITHERS IS A TRANSGENDER!!!!!
That's pretty much what happened. Originally it was the tomb of a Selune follower, then they shoved Withers into it and didn't bother changing the sarcophagus.

Most relational people don’t agree or want to join a death cult.
Well, in all fairness, the person who claims he would like to play a character murdering every gay NPC in sight does sound like he has a chip on his shoulder. I mean, I get it, he's ****** having LGBTQ content shoved down his throat, but I also get why his comment would make the woke point at him and make our side look 'bad'.
At any rate, are the modding tools allowing us to have quest mods or add interactions with NPCs? So that we can expand characters like Minthara or Halsin?
In all fairness, caring about a little LGBT representation in a game is childish, and having it exist in a game in no way constitutes that content being shoved down anyone's throat. People that get offended by LGBT content are just as annoying as those that demand representation. It's all crybaby nonsense.
No it isn't. It's immersion breaking. Anyone publicly saying they were gay in 1400s would be imprisoned, lynched, burned. I personally wouldn't give too much of a crap in a modern day western setting. but BG3 isn't a modern day western setting.
Personally, I wouldn't want to see it in a modern-day western setting either. They're such a tiny portion of the population and so disagreeable. Why do we need to be reminded of them in art?
Going to make a cyberpunk setting that only has heterosexual devoutly religious people and when people ask why it doesn't feel like cyberpunk I'll tell them it's fantasy so I can do what I want
You've described Warhammer 40k.

it's less of an immersion break that's all. That **** actively harms gameplay in bg3 cuz they stick out like a sore thumb. Like a nokia 360 in a medieval setting without an isekai tag on the **** title.

Agreed. I used to be much more amicable towards them.

Not quite the same, definitely has a much different (and rather unique) feel than a cyberpunk setting.
Have you played Necromunda? It's a subset of Warhammer 40k meant to represent urban gang warfare in the Imperium's endless hive cities. There's a definite cyberpunk feel. Although I tend to associate mohawks, spikes, and nipple piercings with any 90s vision of the future...

I think 40k is supposed to be a "post-apocalyptic" setting considering how in the background lore it was stated that humanity was so good at technology that their tech turned against them and humanity never fully recovered from the war against their Skynet or something like that.
I might be ******** but I can't figure it out how to fix this even with google, sorry if this is the wrong forum to post but i doubt other bg3 players would help me with my mod selection

I like how in the comments they say that we bought a game that is filled with lgbt but if you bought in EA then the only lgbt thing you would notice is the lesbian relationship with alfira and the other girl. Not that the game game after act 2 would be filled with them to the brim.

Youre using lingo .pak which is broken atm. Use the loose files one or wait for an updated version.

Most of these people only knew about the LGBT content after the release when it gain massive popularity.

Remove Lingo from your mod manager. Instead get the loose Lingo file in the download list and follow the installation instructions for it.

Exactly so. I was surprised and somewhat irritated by the Ironhand gnomes in the Grymforge all being gay (so if the Absolutists and duergar didn't kill them, nature would), but the sheer abhorrence after freeing dame A and to be greeted with "I wanna **** my GIRLFRIEND DARLING Isobel" when returning to camp was to precise quite repulsive. Took all immersion of a medieval fantasy game away and substuted it with som modern day Chtulhu in San Fransisco-vibe I found basically good for nothing else than a facepalm. Had I known the extent of this alphabet shite beforehand, I would have pirated the game and used the mods I'm using anyway.
Also: The sheer amount of (an)alpabetism in the game is one thing, but the distastrous writing of some characters and quest lines esp. after Act 2 is simply awful. I hope to all good powers that we never again need to hear anything from the troll that Larian hired to (re)write parts of the game.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the new built-in mod manager does NOT download it's mods from the Nexus.
Wouldn't it be a riot if the new mod server has no issues hosting this mod?
