Well, I for one, found it really immersion breaking and lame. I chose to play as a Male Paladin and right away this gay vampire starts flirting with me and then tries to molest me in my sleep (which logically all just makes no sense). Then when I kill his *** to hopefully solve that issue, I soon after find out that you can never be nice, and always need to be careful what you say, otherwise all your super horny party members want to have gay sex with you. I know I can "just kill them", but I like having party members. I just wanted brothers in arms and normal camaraderie, not dudes that immediately act like flirty, gay, sissies. It's just all stupid and completely unnecessary. If you're going to include this garbage at least let us toggle if off in the options.

People that felt like they lived their lives years before you even met them, not one of them is immediately trying to **** you or kill you and still say that they are the victim in this situation. **** LARIAN for not giving us a cool paladin old man. We only get some metrosexuals and women that sometimes feel like some teenies straight out of 2024.

I mean... it kind of sounds like a waste to me?
If I happen to kill him defending myself, I'm not going to cry about it, but if he surrenders, sure, a vampire who owes me a life-debt who I can sic on my enemies sounds more useful than a dead gay vampire corpse. It's not like I'm personally committed to killing all vampires or anything.

I disliked her voice in BG1 (I played both games in german) but her voice in BG2 is perfect. Think she was the first female ( and probably only) character I cared about.

Well, in all fairness, the person who claims he would like to play a character murdering every gay NPC in sight does sound like he has a chip on his shoulder. I mean, I get it, he's ****** having LGBTQ content shoved down his throat, but I also get why his comment would make the woke point at him and make our side look 'bad'.

At any rate, are the modding tools allowing us to have quest mods or add interactions with NPCs? So that we can expand characters like Minthara or Halsin?

In all fairness, caring about a little LGBT representation in a game is childish, and having it exist in a game in no way constitutes that content being shoved down anyone's throat. People that get offended by LGBT content are just as annoying as those that demand representation. It's all crybaby nonsense.

Seeing ******* and ******** in a medieval-like setting is immersion breaking and immediately puts me out of the experience.

Portraits don't need to be overrides anymore incase that changes how the mod can be updated

Yes they do. But it needs to be EXACT same version as the people you are playing with. So if latest pirated copies are old version, you can't play together.

Larian writing really vacillates between ok to bad/mediocre writing. Although it is a significant improvement from DOS games which were bad( strictly in the character/story department)

It makes me wonder though how they will do in the next game since its a new IP ,which tends to be spotty in there writing when they can’t use more established IP’s as a crutch.

that's how it acts if you have an outdated lingo file installed. plenty of new lines were added in a new update and they were overwritten by a lingo file from a .pak
for now you can either use a non-pak version or wait for an updated .pak file
