Pazio has made there intentions known by the next project with Ossian Studios which will be PF2e.Personally I have no interest in the game because a it’s a low level adventure 1-7 .another thing I don’t like the promotional art for the kickstarter which look like asset bought stock images. I admit I’m being harsh to say that but first impressions matter.

I think they disconfirmed World of Darkness and 40k, but not Warhammer fantasy. I hope that omission is hinting towards that because that would be my ideal.

I be disappointed if it was Warhammer fantasy game
since I don’t like Warhammer as a whole.

WHF is a good setting. The setting is currently in limbo as it was killed off and replaced with a much worse setting(AOS), but then brought back sorta.

Isn’t Warhammer fantasy a prequel to Warhammer 40k? While I appreciate the lore / world building in Warhammer 40k I don’t like how they use grim dark since I find it does it just for the sake of it so I assume Warhammer fantasy is the same but in the medieval fantasy period.

Huh, so Paizo is fully going the WotC route of not only forcing developers to use the recent edition, but also to keep it "low-level" for whatever reason.

Two reasons I'm not interested in that CRPG in the making.

Well yeah but the complaint is towards the lack of portraits for the NPCs.

I understand not making a portrait for every NPC but the lack of important NPC’s for major story characters always annoyed me. It was already noticeable in Kingmarker and absolutely ridiculous In WOTR where 70% of VIP NPC’s had just a name text box font.
In Kingmaker, literal no-names simply known as "Defaced Sisters" had not one but two portraits made for them, yet in WotR the daughter of big bad Baphomet doesn't even has her own portrait. lol

It’s funny because Owlcat had concept art for a bunch of major NPC’s but decided not to give them portraits.

Pazio by the look of it wants to make a bigger presence on video games space with different types of genres using the pathfinder IP .One is a vampire survivors rogue game and the other is upcoming Diablo like co-op game.

Completely unrelated aside from motif similarities, they are distinct universes, 40k is set in our universe/timeline. Fantasy is cool because it takes place in a late medieval period meaning handguns and cannons etc are a thing and its generally less grimdark than 40k

It would be nice if they fix the bugs like the mythic visuals being ****** in the late game instead of a throwaway cross over event that can competed in 20 minutes.

Yes, but it’s a very long game. I got to act 4 before I burned out/got distracted (I don’t remember which) but I enjoyed all of it. Surprisingly non-pozzed, despite the devs.

I would say yes with an asterisk*

The first three acts are good but the final two acts takes a nose dive in quality IMO.

I also wonder how the performance of Rogue Trader is in comparison with Kingmaker and WotR.

What I currently have is a PC that can run Kingmaker relatively smoothly, but the game always begins to lag like crazy during the final chapter and it kept lagging till the end no matter how much I reduced the graphical quality. But 90% of KM is always alright.

In contrast, my PC can barely run WotR smoothly and I always have to keep the graphical settings at the absolute lowest possible to even make the game run at a decent pace, and even then there were areas when loading took forever and I moved at slow-motion in said area like in Wintersun Village.

I haven't been able to complete a full run of WotR so far since I always rage-quit during the endgame since the lag is just unbearable, and I wonder if Rogue Trader would be the same.

RT performance is better then Kingmarker and would say about the same maybe better then WOTR after 1.2 update but your experience will vary depending on your PC specs. However always keep toy box on hand because something always breaks eventually.

Well finished the DLC and took 10 minutes. Can’t say I expected much since it was free but sill felt underwhelmed

Game still buggy and even more unstable .

Gotta love Owlcat in finding news way to brighten my day.

Rogue Trader had the worst audio issues for me, with the ambient noise and music lagging and stuttering. It was so distracting that I couldn't play it past the first opening bit.
"Oh, it all makes sense now, brother."
