War Games Have A Big Problem
I hate war games because they can't just be about the joys of industrial murder. There's always some stupid cope story, "we're the goodies, right?" NO! "Ahhhhh! Noooooo! You can't just make a war game where the biggest drama is who gets the fox hole closest to the **** trench! You need to set your gayass war in a cosmic struggle between good and evil! Nooooo!" I blame Halo for anthropomorphizing the aliens.
Weirdest cracker you know.
Modern war games are the worst, you basically play as some gladiator for globohomo fighting the enemies of the (((West))). To defend the right to gay buttsex and crossdressing. Halo on the other hand is more novel, but involves typical satanic sci-fi storytelling. Which puts man, or "aliens", above God.
The only decent one is Spec Ops: The Line, but only because of it's edgy story.

Oh god, spec ops: the Line is exactly what I'm talking about. Its anti-war, Oliver Stone movie barf. "You can't just kill turd worlders with our technological superiority! Your ancestors would never roll their iron chariots over villages!"

War is boring
Also thread is made by edgy *** that I would love to see in a war somewhere for 48 hours.

Jesus do war games have a problem. They entirely leave out logistics so every soldier is on the front line. Until they have the mechanic go to the parts clerk to have him order parts to fix a broken down humvee it ain't real enough. At least add fueler's or something. The war game of the future will be a MMORPG like Eve but less spreadsheets. Say you like the RTS side of games well you might wanna be some kind of engineer or something. Just spit balling.

a proper war game isn't possible because it would just be hours of sitting around trying to entertain yourself with nothing

Perhaps, but I'd imagine it's an apt depiction of what it is to serve the Israeli machine in pointless wars in the Middle East. You end up committing atrocities, or at the very least contributing to the decline of the nation you're in for the sake of geopolitical influence. It also serves as a deconstruction of Bush-era warmongering, and modern military shooters in general. You end up mindlessly killing hundreds of digital human beings, and Spec Ops lampshades that.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ June 4th, 2023, 02:55It's a stupid story that appeals to libtardsKnightoftheWind wrote: ↑ June 4th, 2023, 00:35The only decent one is Spec Ops: The Line, but only because of it's edgy story.

In a rare case, white soldiers are not portrayed as devils either. In fact, the supposed main antagonist you're fighting against was actually a good man trying to help survivors.

It's not, it's not even close. The vast majority of soldiers never see any sort of combat. The soldiers that see combat spend 99% of their time stacking waterbottles for fun.KnightoftheWind wrote: ↑ June 4th, 2023, 03:01Perhaps, but I'd imagine it's an apt depiction of what it is to serve the Israeli machine in pointless wars in the Middle East. There is no such thing as anything close to a proper portrayal of war at this scale. It's always just theater.

Even if that were true, it doesn't change the fact that soldiers are there for a reason. To expand the influence of the "American" (Israeli) Empire. They do a lot more than stacking waterbottles.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ June 4th, 2023, 03:04It's not, it's not even close. The vast majority of soldiers never see any sort of combat. one of my favorite noticings is when I noticed that there are very, very few modern games where you get to shoot commies
for example, there is not a single game set during the korean war made in the past 20 years.

Yes, but with no conspiracies or plot, just soldiers killing in the name of God or taking slaves. Something very edgy but no story or gayness.
@rusty_shackleford and every war shooter, including killzone, ww2, modern warfare, is about WW2.

I am under the unpopular opinion that videogames really have gotten way too violent for the good of society especially when 15 years ago only really hooked Counter Strike fans played more than 4 hours a day and Soldier of Fortune was porn for the Special needs crowd like my family and john Milius fanatics.

I want a Wolfenstein: The New Order-esque alternate timeline where the Russian Revolution failed and you play as a noble soldier of Holy Russia, tasked with fighting commies.
So far all of the games OP listed are not war games but happy xbox pew pews which the controls for halo are fantastic what is wrong with you

The calls of duties are less popular, blood isn't blood colored, violence against people is rarer (unless they are political efigies). Hitman is less violent than it was in Absolution.
