Gamer Opinions
Hello fellow forum goers.
Looking for opinions on games. I'm new to this community and I wanna make a big splash. I won't read the thread but still thank everyone for their feedback.
I'm definitely not a shitposter from Codex trying to blend in.
So what do people think about games this year? Are games good? Discuss! I won't share my opinions.
GOD I love the 90s.

I like games. Except for the ones I hate.
I understand that theories can be interesting but 90s reminds me of games.

Granblue Fantasy Relink was good. Fantastic visuals, good soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita, decent story, fun fights and endgame that held my attention for a couple months. Hope a sequel doesn't take another 8 years to release. Wish that the Zegagrande Skydom wasn't a rehash of Phantagarde and was something more novel like Nalhegrande.
Eiyuden Chronicle was disappointing. It was the long awaited spiritual continuation of the Suikoden series by Murayama, but what we got was a boring game. Boring both story wise in that there is no tension as nobody dies, and boring as in there was zero challenge whatsoever. Dropped. Might pick it back up again, who knows. Music was forgettable, sadly.
World of Warcraft began doing unexpected experimental stuff, first with the Plunderstorm event which was a battle royale in the WoW engine with a simplified and refined hotbar. It was pretty fun, though I wish that rather than taking place in a generic green grassy valley it had leveraged WoW's high fantasy environments and took place on a collapsing floating island or something. Then we got MoP remix which briefly made old MoP raids challenging and fun to do with other people again, at least before everyone outgeared it.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail was... okay-ish. Borderline fine. The base expansion only gave us the story, 4 raid bosses, and 2 new classes. The expansion story had some things I liked, and also continued the infuriatingly cynical world view of the game, but the main issue is that it is just overall boring. First time where I got so bored that I abandoned the main story to go grind up other classes for a few days before I mustered up the interest to finish the story. The new Viper class had good looking animations, made me wish that the earlier classes (such as my main, Samurai) had visuals on par. The raid story thus far has been better than the actual expansion story, though we have to wait 8 months for a continuation. Ultimately the expansion might not become interesting until the patches in next year when they add the Beastmaster job and the Field Expedition grind zones. Music was underwhelming, some fine tracks but overall not good.
Kuro no Kiseki officially released in the West this year as Trails into Daybreak, which I had already played last year with the fan translation patch. The game is... okayish. I'd almost be tempted to say it's mediocre, but really it's just one of the few games that have come out in recent years that appealed to me, let alone held my interest all the way to the end, so in that regard it was better than Eiyuden. Higher fidelity visuals and good aesthetics, but a boring main cast of characters, underwhelming setting, bad story, boring combat even on nightmare difficulty, and an overall forgettable soundtrack.
Looking for to the next WoW and GW2 expansions.

As in
...surely?gay (adj.)
Origin and meaning of gay
late 14c., "full of joy, merry; light-hearted, carefree;" also "wanton, lewd, lascivious" (late 12c. as a surname, Philippus de Gay), from Old French gai "joyful, happy; pleasant, agreeably charming; forward, pert; light-colored" (12c.; compare Old Spanish gayo, Portuguese gaio, Italian gajo, probably French loan-words). The ultimate origin is disputed; perhaps from Frankish *gahi (related to Old High German wahi "pretty"), though not all etymologists accept this.
The meaning "stately and beautiful; splendid and showily dressed" is from early 14c. Of things, "sumptuous, showy, rich, ornate," mid-14c. of colors, etc., "shining, glittering, gleaming, bright, vivid," late 14c.; of persons, "dressed up, decked out in finery," also late 14c. In the English of Yorkshire and Scotland formerly it could mean "moderately, rather, considerable" (1796; compare the sense development in pretty (adj.)).

Weirdest cracker you know.
I want journalists to come home and find that the person they loved the most has been killed by their second most beloved person who then committed suicide leaving a note blaming them for all of it.

VAE VICTIS
I used to have a Codex account, that is until Infinitroon locked it and tried to force me to enable two-factor authentication, probably so he could get my phone number (probably for homosexual stalking reasons), but instead of doing that I just called him a Fed turbojew and logged out forever.
That is my opinion on games.

And possibly also gay (homosexual).
All I'll say is, this is the most Shivering Isles sort of a situation I've ever experienced online.
