I have always thought that developers should have granular game settings that focus on specifics so the player can tailor the game to their liking. Pathfinder had a good start on this approach, I wish more games would have expanded on this. That way, everyone could be happy.Segata wrote: β May 18th, 2023, 14:39But you see, Iron Tower Studios always offers the option to hide the skillchecks in the game settings. Sometimes a game has nice features, but I wish I could turn some things off.
I hated Underail putting in the map and wish it could have been a setting that locked on or off at the start of the game. I have enough self control not to tab out of a game and go online looking for hints, but when you get frustrated with something and it is simply hitting a button, well... I will be honest... it is hard not to do it. I can't imagine playing Wiz 7 with all the cheats and convivence features they have default in games these days, it would have ruined the game. The fun was thinking about the game, coming back and trying different approaches, etc... Modern gaming sucks.
