I never vote for games, films, or series in which Sean Bean dies. Let's say it is "old news".

Morrowind is the closest to a depiction of a medieval world the series will get. It also had the best nord lore, like that arkay turned them into six year olds, and child wulfharth had to thuum them into adults. Completely different approach to the setting from whatshisnuts with the unpronouncable last name.

I didn't like Oblivion and I never played Skyrim. My only experience with ESO so far is the closed beta they had in 2013, so 11 years ago.
I liked Morrowind but it's my second favorite TES.

I have only played Morrowind, Skyrim, and ESO during the open beta. I am going to vote for Skyrim, for two reasons:
1. It is more visually pleasing to spend countless hours in. Morrowind was just miles and miles of samey brown wasteland. Sure, there were cool aesthetics with the pyramid cities, or the Telvanni wizards in their gnarled wooden and mushroom towers, or that warrior elf clan that live inside the carapace of a giant crab, etc. But the brown wastes became very repetitive. Skyrim on the other hand has how many different biomes? You start off in the lush green area of Riverwood, and then you go to the golden plains of Whiterun, and then there is cold marsh/swamps of Morthal, then the mountainous area of The Reach, then you have the snowy land of Dawnstar and Windhelm, and then you have the autumnal forests and lake of Riften. There is just more here scenery wise, and ofcourse the game just looks better with the longer draw distance and the scenic mountains in the background.
2. Gameplay is more fun. In Morrowind, you have to do a lot of homework before you actually sit down and start playing the game and having fun. You have to study to understand what builds there are and at what point you have to go where to get what items. If you don't do that, then you're going to be in a really bad time where you are swinging a sword at a cliffracer 20 times but only hit once. Skyrim is a lot more friendly in that right from the get go, you can just walk out into the woods and stumble upon a mine and start fighting and having fun. Stealthing is also pretty fun too, though I wish it had more depth to it like Kingdom Come Deliverance or Thief.
Morrowind cleverly disguises its lore wiki/codex in the dialogue trees, but Skyrim is fully voice acted. Morrowind also has more factions, or at least subfactions. When you join House Telvanni, there are five wizards you can apprentice under, each with their own questline. I remember spending a lot of time working for that one wizard who lived in an abandoned fortress.
I remember overall disliking ESO. I did not like the plastic look of the game, and never really liked the setting. The most fun I had was in the big mass PvP warfare in Cryodil, where I played as a templar archer who shot from atop the walls and used healing spells on the frontliners when possible, but the Cryodill map was just vast stretches of boring green flatlands with the same copypasted forts everywhere.
