Only in New Vegas this unlock more quests and events for faction and unlock more items for you use, unlike bg3.
You're now stretching the definition to its absolute limit. You're describing the concept of questlines which BG3 also has numerous.
It would be nice to give an example. Most quests begins and ends in a same act.
We already gave examples, there is even a check once you enter the city in bg3 if you ever attacked anyone in the goblin camp in act1 or in moonrise tower in act2 or if you attacked anyone from the absolute. If not they let you pass without having to pay an entry fee for example.
The biggest thing is last light in act2 tho. If you fail to save Isobel you lose access to merchants and personal quests like karlachs. Maybe also you cant access the goblin hideout in act3 then dont remember for sure if you can still save them if last light has no protection shield anymore.
It also matters if you gave that women you can save from the witch her husband zombie back in act1. You can not save her and the witch maybe doesnt even show up in act3 or you help the witch and she will reward you in act3 then also the house is filled with mercs where usually the woman is with her crew where she got cursed into a sheep. If you help the woman and dont give her the husband she doesnt have him with her there. There are always some small changes depending on your decisions.
Also I dont really see why it matters so much to you why there need to be big changes in the world. I am happy if the world interacts at all differently to other playthroughs depending on your decisions not every fart needs to summon a hurricane later.

Mysterious Ox quests lasts all three acts
Tiefling blacksmith has consequences for all three acts
Painter you save in act 1 returns in act 3 with a reward
Your decision to raid or save the Grove has consequences in Act 2 (especially in regards to Minthara) and Act 3
Whether you save isobel or let her be kidnapped, and whether you successfully lie to Jaheira and Aylin about it has consequences for the fight against Ketheric and the next act.
Not killing the owl bear cub and rescuing it has consequences for the final battle.
Should I continue?
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
I repeat this last time: all this reactions to the players actions Rusty or Vaako listed one time event that do not evolve into anything in future game events or don't become gameplay mechanic that you can use more than one time during event this reactions to the players actions was introduced. These are signs of a mediocre game that both you and Rusty have elevated to "good" or even "industrial standard". If you normalize mediocrity, don't be surprised that all modern games are boring.
They are one time unrepeatable events... just like the WoW and New Vegas examples you gave of completing a quest and having enemies despawn and the environment mildly change?

I think you're right. BG3 doesn't have items you get through quests.
the difference is the events you mention in those games always happen just by doing a series of linear events, the things that make BG3 interesting are that most people will never see the same game you do because there's an unimaginable combination of events possible
Especially with your examples... Rusty, please, stop pretending to be an idiot, your event in a circus has skillcheck that informs player about genie doing something with lottery and from that point there is only 2 option: you either still his ring or you do nothing and go away, there is no "unimaginable combination of events possible", only 2! What "unimaginable combination of events possible" you talking?
You even got that tiny little scene incorrect.
Holy ****, Rusty, "unimaginable combination of events possible" has value only if you have "unimaginable" amount outcomes, it doesn't count if result are the same, why I have to say obvious things outloud?

The outcome of a game is always the same: it ends.
Typical RPG design, heavily influenced by Bioware:
Larian design:
I'm sorry, Rusty, but good RPG game has not only different combinations of event but also different outcomes of this combination of event, otherwise it pointless.

Yes, please, because all what you named, for now, is not enough to compensate ****** writing and woke trash that this game is full of.

You've moved the goalposts so far we aren't even on the fuckin field anymore dawg we've left the stadium!

You can get a lot of good items through side quests. If you find Dyrreth's husband alive she'll give you the throwing gloves that are pretty clutch to any throwing build. In act 1 in the free Mayrina side quest you can get the +1 any stat hag hair from Ethel if you spare her. If you kill the hag and free the child in act 3 her mother gives you a really great sword for bards. If you become an unholy assassin of bhaal you can purchase assassin gear from a special vendor.
After reading all of this I feel strongly that minecraft and gary's mod are the peak of the RPG medium. The most possible combinations of events and outcomes, what else can even compete?
Do move this if it's the wrong place to ask, but I recall there was a post with a lot of links to an Early Access version of the game, does anyone know where I can find that post? I tried looking for it, but it doesn't show results for it besides a post I did asking if I could use the torrent I still had (can still feel that disappointment just reading what I wrote back then ) I only recall that the post was made well after I asked and it was, I believe,in another thread than this. I would like to make a CD to keep in storage (version 1.4 something? I can't recall).

You can go to 1337x.to and search for "Baldur's Gate 3", then sort it by time and go to the last page, there should be a GOG copy of the Early Access Build and every major patch if you need a specific one.

I found it, thank you! Though is there a way for a direct download or am I missing something? It says it is connecting to peers without any end in sight unfortunatly.

I don't think she's *****. Seeing as every DND related media and book contradicts each other in this regard, it is safe to say that BG3 has some dwarven women with beards. See the R.A Salvatore books. I mean the grandfather of the fantasy as we know it now, had dwarven women with beards.

I am inclined to think they couldn't care less that it's a dwarf, they just wanted to put bearded women somewhere. Dwarven beards are a pride to the race that I recall, the beards they choose for the women are unsightly with the rest of the color and appearance combination as if just placed in "just because" almost, or to purposefully make things feel revolting (they are using the same beards as those men I see online at times that also wear a dress and have long hair, for example). I have seen more women dwarves with long beards in Baldur's Gate 3 than male dwarves (who are always bald or shaven or something in-between)
