Actually enjoying this a lot. Movie-game, don't expect any real 'gameplay' here beyond some detective elements. Very pretty.
(I play with M+KB just fine despite him saying controller is better)
Spoilers aren't really spoilers unless you want to figure out everything on your own, more like a hint towards a secret that exists.
I'm almost certain there's a secret where Sara lives involving the chicken drawings/lights but I can't quite figure it out yet.
Figured it out, but I had conversations with Sara first. Not sure if it unlocks extra options or different results if you figure it out first. You'll get an achievement for finishing the entire thing, so that's how you'll know when you're done.
Actually, I could bring it up later.
Go through every area with a fine-tooth comb, only the things necessary to continue the game will be pointed out to you.

Rusty complains that things like Kenshi aren't games because of no pre-define goals yet enjoys movie "games".

Not even remotely the same. I get it, you're a zoomer who has never watched a hardboiled detective movie and are gay.Tweed wrote: β July 18th, 2024, 12:41So you're saying you like Disco Elysium?

The lack of gameplay is disappointing because I love the aesthetics of it. I'll give it a go at some point.

tweed will complain about an adventure game lacking gameplay then go play some obscure 1980s sierra adventure game where the gameplay amounts to picking the wrong item 4 hours ago and having to restart because of it

Finished it, maybe 8 hours long or so? I have a feeling it has a lot of branching paths/endings. Fairly happy with my ending so I'm not sure if I'll replay it.
Died, ended up in presumably what is afterlife with Rachel.

Looks like it'll be releasing on GOG eventually... the setting is interesting I may pick this one up.
The product page lists "Role-playing" in the Genre section, did you find any notable RPG elements?

Ah ha! The first clue has already appeared.

Didn't encounter any 'woke' elements.
I pirated it, btw.

I'm not interested in this game at all (gameplay loop of walking around and click on random things is boring af) BUT it does look super Kino.
If this game wasn't about some time travelling detective and instead a simulation game of living in a cyberpunk world - I'd love it.
It actually looks better than Cyberpunk 2077 in what I've seen.

The fact it's a walking simulator and not even a horror game or something is a pretty big missed opportunity.

It's basically just an interactive movie, but actually really good. Most of these are ****, but this one has good writing/setting.
Can't really see how anyone who watches movies or reads books can insult it, it's the same thing except interactive.

Rusty thinks movies and books are games. Speedran from HQ to Resetera in eight hours, has to be a record.

Mom: "Yeah."

Me: "I want to play this"
My Brother: "Don't let him. It has ritualistic murder and occult references in it."
Dad: "Okay, he'll have to wait till his birthday first."
