It's not a DLC, it's a separate game. Just play the originals with gemrb, it works well for modern systems. Or just load it up with a bunch of Weidu mods - almost all the mods for the original BG1 & 2 are still available.

Problem is that many of the newer mods are made with the EE in mind. Also, you will need to hunt down the mod that disables the donutsteal NPCs that Beamdog injected into BG1 and 2.

Yeah, that was funny too.. They essentially took what already existed (there were numerous mods around that already bug fixed, increased resolution, added new content, etc...) and did it "officially" in an incompetent manner. Not only that, but when people pointed out to others that they could download the mods to do the same for free with the old games, they talked GoG into packaging the old games with the "new modded" one for 20 bucks (the originals were much much cheaper) and barred people from buying the originals individually.

They can **** off, the worthless no talent scam artists every single one.

The encounters are good, the art is good, the dungeons are good. The only bad part that really hurts it is the writing, otherwise it would actually be a decent third addition to the original two games.

That's pretty sad. It could have been a massive feather in Beamdog's cap but instead Siege of Dragonspear will live in infamy.

Stringref 68091 reads "Make way evil! I'm armed to the teeth and packing a hamster!" for me.

I have many mods installed already though, and already have an override for that file, so wanna check and merge the change manually (if that line is still even in mine).

Also Enhanced Edition isn't bad if you remove/completely ignore all the added companions.
